Hi, After I manage to launch Origin with Wine, the next step was to launch a game within Origin. I tried Mass Effect 3, and unexpectedly, I was able to launch it directly! See pictures below. The game performance is more or less playable. Of course, you cannot enjoy the max settings without any lags, but how much do you expect from a game and company that do not support GNU/Linux in any way? /X

Hi all, I have a couple of games in Origin that I want to play in GNU/Linux, however, the first big problem encountered is how to get Origin to work with Wine. Many users have been able to install Origin and start the GUI-front, but few have been able to actually download any games! Now, a guy nicked "Heiko" at WineHQ has finally been able to construct a hack as a work-around to the download issue. The patch can be found here: http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=31438. To make this work, we need the source-files of Wine that can be found here: http://mirrors.ibiblio.org/wine/source/1.5/. I used version 1.5.27, but it should not matter w
