Just Leave Me Alone

Just a scene from a future story involving Aria/Romani. The scenario: Romani gets invited to a party by Elizabeth Bathory (introducing herself as Eliza Bates, the CEO of Bates Pharmaceutical), and tells her that it'll be a casual affair, but it turns out it's a formal event for socialites and rich folks, so Romani sticks out like a sore thumb (though she isn't necessarily unknown, as she is a hero), and when she tells Elizabeth, the Blood Countess prompts her to dance for them. But this is a trap, as the Blood Countess has used her vampire powers to mesmerize the entire party to turn on Romani the instant the dance is done. And turn on her they do, pelting her with the party food. Humiliated, Romani leaves the party in tears, and Elizabeth Bathory's ego getting larger as a result.

Yeah, this was a sad one to do, but I always sorta view Aria/Romani as a bit of an outcast heroine, always wanting to be accepted by society, and getting rejected and hurt on a seemingly constant basis. And what better villain to cause these feelings of inadequacy than Elizabeth Bathory, a sadistic alpha bitch in every aspect?
