Elizabeth Bathory by Daniel-RM

The vampire queen, the Countess of Blood, Elizabeth Bathory, hovered over the shoulder of the artist, watching as he painted her picture. She stared at him with cold sapphire eyes, her red hair hanging down past her shoulder like a waterfall of blood.

"Are you certain this is how I look?" She asked, looking into the painter's eyes.

"Yes, madame. You are quite a lovely woman to portray... though, I must ask: why not have your picture taken instead?"

Elizabeth's brow furrowed in anger, and she raised her hand to strike at the man, but decided against it, not wanting to damage the painting in any way... "Photographs can't capture my essence... in the same way a portrait can." She amended her statement mid sentence, not wanting anyone to know she was a vampire. She had a multi million dollar pharmaceutical company to run... she didn't need any publicity on the fact that she was a vampire... it could very well destroy her company, not to mention her.

"I see." The artist nodded, adding one final touch to the portrait. "There. What do you think?"

"Perfect." Bathory replied, placing cash on the table for the amount the painting was worth. "Have a pleasant evening."

The man took the cash and tipped his hat before walking out of the penthouse suite Elizabeth called home. Nearby stood her servant and adopted son, Norman, looking nervous. "May I?"

"If it pleases you, follow him home and gut his whole family... he's already outlived his usefulness to me."

A commission piece by the talented . The Blood Countess, Elizabeth Bathory, known to civilians as Eliza Bates, the CEO of Bates Pharmaceuticals, in reality a powerful vampiress and dangerous blood mage.

I decided to make it a theme for each of the characters getting their picture taken in some way for these images... but since Bathory is a vampire and thus casts no reflection or appears on film or photographs, she had to have someone take a portrait of her instead, and showcase her uncaring nature at the same time once the job is done.

Elizabeth Bathory, the Blood Countess belongs to me,

The story takes place in the universe.

Hope you like it! I'll commission one more piece and I think that'll be the end, unless I get a clamoring from people to ask for more.
