Adam West Tribute

Just a quick image I drew up in response to the news of the passing of Adam West, TV's first Batman, and for many the only Batman.

Truth be told, my first experience with Adam West wasn't the television show from the sixties, but rather an episode of the nineties cartoon, Johnny Bravo, where he played himself. Needless to say, I enjoyed his humor and his borderline crazy antics long before I got the references. He went on to do a lot of voices, often as either himself or characters that were more or less him at some point in his life.

So, I offer this tribute to the late master of camp and circumstance. A very subtle tribute to the sixties show, but you'll get it if you know the show inside and out.

I also took it as an opportunity to practice my speech bubbles. I think they came out alright.

One problem I had while uploading is that the corners got shadowed out, and try as I might to fix the problem, even cropping them out wouldn't fix it entirely... I think I need to get a new sketchbook. One that ISN'T bent out of shape.
