Grant was originally from the hoen region, where he became a professor that studied the wild pokemon native to where he lived. Eventually, he heard about the Crater Region, and decided to move and study the strange pokemon and phenomena. Not long after moving, grant was attacked by a werewolf that had lost himself to the transformation, though so far he's managed to keep a hold of himself through his own transformation, even resuming his own research. Eventually, he meets a young Cyrus, who he becomes a mentor figure to.
