So I might be an Art Student but I also have fun cosplaying. As you all know, I'm from Malaysia and being in Malaysia, at the time of this writing, Anime Festival Asia Malaysia 2012 is only 3 days away, and I'd like to give a pre-con talk.
See here's the thing, What is Cosplay? I don't mean to sound wiser than I am since I just started cosplaying last December, and the only character I've done is the protagonist from Persona 4. But I think Cosplay comes from 2 words: Costume and Role-Play. I first started cosplaying because I have trouble drawing different poses for figures, this problem was rather vexing, hence why I started cosplaying, observing others as well as quickly improvising a pose for the camera really improved my drawing by a milestone.
