A pair of dragon scouts had spotted an enormous portal opening south of the city and had posthaste sent their word about it to the Aether Guard, fearing the horde that might emerge from it.
The army could already from afar see the large aemon towering above everything else in sight. The corrupted smoke-cloud reaching high into the sky. The portal had closed itself. It seemingly only appeared to spit out this monstrocity, before it faded away.
This.. Was going to be one hell of a battle.
