Chapter 7: One step back, making progress
I stood there among a collection of Dragons with their eyes staring in both awe and fear at the beast that replaced the Dragon whose fate was in their claws. Black Ice did not share the same emotion that overwhelmed the rest of the Dragons present in the area, but had twisted into a scowl. I lifted one of my forelegs quickly, violently breaking the chain from its anchor as I lowered my head, causing every Dragon to flinch when they heard the noise. Every Dragon except Black Ice subconsciously stepped back when I slammed my paw against the ground and roared. Black Ice had turned into a snarl when our eyes had met.
