Yep... a lot has happened since the last post!
1) Most important, I took the 1st 2011 UK EC place. Finals in London at the end of October. Comp was pretty hot.
2) Ayacon happened, and I got to do almost no costumey stuff =(. For a panel, I did do a partial face prosthesis in less than three hours, which was then applied by Laura. turned out pretty well IMO.
3) Working towards having a portfolio ready to take to a few SFX houses. Mainly targeting the bigger ones in London first.
4) Have a list of new costume plans. WCS entry next year (unannounced till event, sorry!), semi-casual one for next year which will let me play with prosthetics a
So, expo hath come and gone yet again. another costume complete, another award won.
I wasn't expecting the reaction i got from the costume at all. original design (first for me) and a fursuit (again, discounting nina which wasn't a "conventional" fursuit, this was a first). fursuiters have a knack of being abused at expo, and normal original costumes generally get ignored. so it was a pretty big boost to the ego when people clamoured for photos. kinda gutted that it was a bad day weatherwise and outdoor photos were pretty much a no no, but Nert (https://www.deviantart.com/nert)'s ever awesome stage photography more than made up for it.

well, still waiting on my appointment to have my initital keyhole surgery consultation. i'm still stuck over whether i'm going ahead with it. untill i know whether or not it will negativley affect my hand i don't know if i'll be going ahead with it.
this, ofcourse, means that i'm doing a whole lot of nothing right now. the situation means that aside from occasional private commissions, i can't work because i have a serious injury. i have a lot of time on my hands, and not a lot to do with it.
