Literature Text

I can taste anticipation
My lips upon your neck
I can sense your submission
My arms enveloping you safely
Guiding you from darkened alleys
The look in your eyes devoting
Speaking so much through tears
And subtle, genuine smile

My dreams come and go
Though your existence remains
Unable to see your face
Fading memories of a future

I challenge circumstance
Stepping forward in blindness
Do I plea? Do I beg?
For my antidote to darkness
You know that I worship you
Wherever you may be
In our kingdom of solace
Hoping you come home soon

My dreams come and go
Though your existence remains
Unable to see your face
Fading memories of a future
