● ICONS ●

GOOD:
 ● Gif-icons was bugged but is fixed now, thank you!

● We will need a bigger Icon because it is high res on the header now. 

● Mouseover will open a popup with links and basic infos: Header picture, header top message, last works, numbers of submissions and watchers, link to message and link to watch. I don´t think this is really needed, but it´s a nice feature.

● „HOME“ LINK ●

GOOD:
 ● It was more difficult to go back to the main page if you are on the „watch“ or „browse“ view, because there is no simple „home“ button or link. There will be a button on evey view now. 

 ● It is changed that you can´t click on your name to go back to the front page. You don´t have to click and cklick again on a popup. Now the button will open the main page directly. Thank you!

● THUMBS & FOLDERS ●

GOOD:

 ● We got a search button. Thank you!

● There are no gallery undergroups folders possible so far, but they are working on it and this will come again for core members. There are bugs with the arrangement of the folders but I think this is because of the overlap of eclipse and the old version.

● The thumbs on the right while browsing or in the gallery are much more specialized in me. I see, for example, my last selected pictures and in some way specialized suggestions for me. I also see the „popular in the last 24 hours“.

EHHH:
● If I try to use the „overview“ setting there are still too big thumbs to see a real overview. A bug is there too and the thumbs sticks out of the screen and disappears somewhere.

BAD:
● One of the most bad features of eclipse is the edit arrow-tool for gallery folders and thumbs in our gallery. The main edit-settings with popup is good, but I talk about the arrows to move a thumb or folder in the gallery. It is really bad to move it from the end to the top of the list because, we can´t move it with the mouse anymore. There are only these little arrows with which you can push it left or right along the list. You have to push every single piece through the whole gallery and every other post. That´s mad! DA PLEASE tell me this is only a bug or … I don´t know, but please just change that! I want to move it with mouse again or perhaps with changing the post number with which every deviation or folder is marked. Anything is better than this push-arrows!

● ALL thumbs are much too big! This is for a app again, not for a page which artists want to work with! It may be ok on the front page but even here I wish they would be smaller to show more thumbs. But it is really bad with the notifications, collections and galleries. There is absolutely NO overview with so big thumbs. Only four fits in my desktop view, so I have to set my browser on 65%-75%, but then I see the open image with less quallity too and I can´t chance with every image-switch! I don´t want to be forced by DA to change my browser & view only because of these big thumbs! Deviantart is a page not a app! So please make thumbs small like we can see them in the old version of DA! (I used this size in my example too.) You did it with the thumbs on the profile, so please do it in the gallery too.

● We lost our individual folder buttons. There will be no way to show anything like that anymore!

● LITERATURE, JOURNAL AND STATUS ●

GOOD:
● The literature posts got nice covers to make them more individual. This will be with the thumbs too.

● We can see all past status posts now. That´s great and finally I can delete my saved links on my PC hehe.

● We can choose free of all our posts, which one we want to show on the front page, even very old posts. Thats nice!

EHHH:
● I can´t see the special literature author tag for writers. Hope this will be added again.

● The single post looks good, and I don´t need special letter settings like H1-H5 or other codes etc. which are bugged or removed? I don´t know, but some of my text is invisible and only appears when I mark it. But it always was very nice to see special skins for my text posts, I can understand all the people who will miss it, if it is removed. I don´t know if this will happen, cause some of my journals still have working special skin codes. What I need is to set links, thumbs and icons in my literature, journals status and comment posts, which is not working well so far.

 ● It would be great if you could make LINKS more visually too. They only look like normal bold text and only change green with mouse over. I would wish links would be all time in a clear different color than normal text

● The letters in literature are much too big for me. It seems that this is another app setting, which looks not good with desktop.

BAD:
● There is no overview of the literature, journals and status posts and I don´t think we need such big thumbs for literature. I would prefer a list of all, or if there are more than 20, the most of the posts, to see at the first view a good overview to choose. There is a big space on the right. It would be great if there would be listed all journals or if you are in the status overview, all status.

● The boxes are fixed and don´t show much of our infos what we wish to show. The infos will be cutten and we can´t set only one lingle, but big post to schow all infos. Only three single and cutten posts or nothing. We can´t show a whole journal anymore for example.

● DEVIATION TEXT, COMMENTS & CHAT ●

GOOD:
 ● The lost comment-track has been fixed and we can use it again. THANK YOU!

 ● The cut of the deviation descriptions and comments with the "Show all" button IS REMOVED!!! Now we can see all at the first view. Thank you!

● I like the new easy chat formation with only marking the text. That´s really nice, easy and fast! We also can put easyly links, images, galleries or videos in this text now.

● A new feature will show all comments we have made seperate on our „About“ page. I don´t think there is a stalker watcher, who is interestet in my comments, but I think for others it could be interesting. But I´m really happy to know, that we can decide, if we want to show it or not!

● Comments can be sorted as newest and oldest, what can help to find a special post more easyly.

● You can like or save a comment now. Saving comments can be very helpful, I like it!

EHHH:
● There is no „preview“ button anymore. I know that some icons and thumbs are not working like they should. Perhaps this general problem is fixed for all time, but I would not think so. We just have no more choice to test.

BAD:
● The very small choose popup for icons and smileys etc. has no overview to choose. It´s for a app, not for a browser and even the old media choose popup has much more overview.

● I just hope we will can use copy past to add emojis, thumbs and videos etc but for now we can´t do it. To choose them is hell with no overview and we have to do it every time again and with no easy copy past.

● Comments are the most loved feedback, but I fear that it will go less, because of the big thumbs, there is no need to visit the page or deviation.

● LIKES & DISLIKES ●

GOOD:
 ● First I thought this new heart with like/dislike bar is another fav or "hater" button, but I was wrong and perhaps this happend because of my bad english, I don´t know. But now I was noticed that this is not shown to the artist or anyone else, it will give only YOU a better choice of suggested pictures, based on what you mark with this slider. That makes sense, although I personally do not like the fact that a bot remembers and stores my preferences. That's why I'm not going to use this slider either, but I'm also a bit paranoid about all those cookies stories. I think for others who don´t care about this things, it could be a nice feature!

● We still can feature or hide a comment. But now we can like a comment too. I don´t know why this is different of the comment feature, but ok, why not. We also can save a comment. that´s really good!

● FAVES ●

GOOD:
 ● We got a search setting! Thank you!

 EHHH:
 ● Why can´t I fav my own deviation anymore? Some artists don´t post commissions, but I want to show it in my fav folder so I HAVE to upload it by my own!

BAD:
 ●  I can´t move favs easyly on the top in a collection scrollbar cause there is no drag and drop anymore. At first we could click the little star below the image and it open a popup where I can see my collections ... BUT this is removed with watever reason! Now we HAVE TO CLICK TREE TIMES TO SET A COLLECTION FAV because a simple cklick on the star add the deviation automatically ONLY to the featured folder and DON´T open the collecions anymore. Drag and drop vs. 3 cklicks ... pretty much downgrade!
My advice: Remove this extra click! Or just make it both: 
Click on the "star": ="add to fav" (add to all/featured without folder popup)
Click on "add to favourites": = chose a collection (open fav folder popup)

● SUBMISSIONS ●

GOOD:
● It is sooooo much more easy to start any submit I want and can be done with a simple popup feature on the front page.

● The submission settings and edit is much more clear and easy!

● I´m vey happy that the automaticly badly cutten deviation description with only a few lines, is removed again! THANKS!

EHHH:
● The tags are fixed on the top and takes the best space of my descripion. Tags are really not most important in my opinion! Please put them above.

● IMAGE QUALITY ●

BAD:
● I think the less quallity in the last time was because of the beta? I really hope our deviations will have 100% quallity again soon. This pixels are ugly! ATTENTION: If you wish that anyone can see the image in the quallity you have uploaded, you have to set a download button!

● The open images are shown in smaller size in general. I don´t know why and I don´t like it.

● PAGE QUALITY ●

BAD:
● Please distinguish between aesthetic nudity as well as erotic art and cheap porn! Too many natural, normal and beautiful works of art are blocked and deleted, whereas real porn trash increases more and more here. The difference can not usually be recognized by a bott and there are too many idiots out there, who report great pictures, but miss all the real shit. So please do not make this choice dependent on botts and idiots, otherwise there will only be idiots here some day!
DA could introduce such a negative controller like it is on the dislike-heart now, to get a statistic of how much a picture is disturbing to the viewer, too pornographic or whatever. The statistic may only be not visible to the artist or anyone else but only for staff. On the basis of these values, a DA staff then sees on which deviation has to take a closer look at and check. This system could save DA staff a lot of pointless or unauthorized reports and improve an anti-porno-bott. I´m pretty sure, this anti-heart was created for something like this and it´s good to make something against the really bad trash of porn here. The statistic just should not be visible and normal nudity and soft erotic art should NOT be banned!

● BROWSING, SCOLLING & PAGINATION ●

GOOD:
 ● I´m glad that they are working on pagination again after removing it! I badly wish back the removed pages and pagenumbers to ged rid of this madness of scrolling and to find much more faster and easy any deviation, comment or any post. And I also wish pagenumbers for the folder „Featured“ too.

 ● The don´t working tag filter is fixed and works with the settings now, thanks!

 ● I had missed a button like „view gallery“ on the single deviations but we got this button back now. Thank you! 

● The setting to filter your browsing is much more clear and easy.

● I really like the new „< … >“ browse- arrows to see the next or last notification or gallery-image/post without switching the page. I had wished this since ever but it only was impossible with the notification posts. Now we have this setting in any open deviation! 

● The only scrolling I like is the left-right scrollbar with thumbs on the top of the page with which I can choose a gallery or collection. But please let this bar scroll endless and not stop at some point.

BAD:
● I really REALLY hate this scrolling everywhere. My hand hurts only of testing eclipse one houre! It´s with all, no matter if collection, gallery, comments, icon-popup … and mainly it is because too big thumbs or too small boxes/popups. It will be horror to scroll through a gallery with 500 or more deviations. The madness of scrolling everywhere scares to browse through galleries and comments and we can hardly find one special post. It´s not even the hurting hand, it´s a problem to find back a special position in a gallery too, if you had a disconnect or had to leave the pape, but want to see all later. Pages and numbers are very helpful to find what we are searging for!

● NOTES & FEEDBACK ●

GOOD:
 ● Thanks for changing the confusing chaos which was first and adding categories for feedback clearly in sections.

● Notes are not changed but the new background looks good. There is still a nice overview and select/move setting. I only would wish to have a bigger place to write my answer notes.

● There is no switch to a new page if you want to see stack-details. Comments and Llamas will move up in the same page if you click on the stack. That´s really better I think!

● The new feedback-bell is nice, I like it! Sadly it´s only for feedback.

EHHH:
● I wish such a bell with numbers for notes and incoming watch-stuff too! Please look at my example, where I had included these features.

BAD:
● I know that this will be great for a lot of users that the post of a given Llama will set you a button to give a Llama back, without page visit. But exactly this will make less pageviews and more anonymous and senseless given Llamas. It simply degrades the llamas even more to some thing that is thrown around, without even looking at an artist. Actually, I thought the Llamas would be a treat for the gallery or the artist. But if I don´t really care about it and do not visit a page, a Llama is nothing worth. And that´s really sad.

● NOTIFICATIONS ●

GOOD:
 ● We got back a bar with all notification areas in one overview to choose and just click on it. VERY good, thank you!

● It is nice that this is separate to the feedback and notes.

● The new „select all“ „save“ and „remove“ settings are very good! The new „remove“ is a feature which gives you the thumb even if you have deleted the deviation. If you click wrong you still can find it. The removed posts will be permanently deleted after 30 days. I don´t know why I should „save“ a deviation, if I like it I can fav it, but you can save feedback, comments journals and status too now and this really makes sense.

EHHH:
● I wish another bell or anything like this for my watched stuff too. I always had seen that there is something new on my notifications an a clear number how much. This was very helpful to see in time what is happend. So please make another bell with number for the watch-stuff.

● I miss the button to remove a deviation from my notifications, if I browse with the new „< … >“ setting through my notifications so I have to click twice with select + remove, if I use this nice new slideshow first. Would be great to have this button again.

 ● Would you please add a number or popup to the eclipse download arrow which shows how many downloads a deviation already have, like we could see with classic DA too. I would love to get a feedback notification if someone has downloaded my stuff too.

BAD:
● I really miss a good overview here too, like I do at the galleries. The thumbs simply are much too big.

● POLLS ●

GOOD:
● It looks better now with the background and bar color.

EHHH:
● If I want to show it on the front page it´s a limited box and don´t show more than four askbars. I can use it only with 200 signs and I can´t use codes and backgrounds. I can´t explain what I want, because of only 200 signs. 

► R E V I E W ◄

At the end of this first view I can say: There are REALLY nice news and features here and it could be a very great new start! But there are some REALLY bad new features too! I have hope that not all will come like we see here.

DA is the only page where I get the creativity and overview I need and love, but now they want remove almost all individuality for us and give up all desktop users. Even Tumblr would be more individual and creative as DeviantArt! This could be the final end. DeviantArt, you has to be and stay unique, so please continue to BE DeviantArt and not another mainstream zmombie-app or soullessprofit-page!

Don´t remove our individuality creativity at all and give us (codes, custom box, skins)!

Let us choose between a app and a desktop version. You are the last page who had cared about desktop users, please don´t give this up!
