Yes, I´m alive, yet! And here he finally comes, the biggest ashole himself: Morgoth as King of 2020.

As I started this back in 12/2019 I had not known how evil this year will be, and I´wonder what we will get till end of 2020. I was thinking if I really should finish this usually ironically meant "happy new year" drawing ... but well ... I think now it all makes more sense, don´t you think too? WHO THE F*CK else could torture us more than him? Could please someone let Manwë know what Morgoth is doing on earth? ... I have to draw him in chains now!

Here the NSFW version:

Glad to hear from you! Superb your artwork! I particularly like the dark armor which contrasts with its soft expression. :devilish:

I have not seen much representation of this character. I'm happy to see your version of Morgoth! :)

Thank you dear! Yea longe time not seen eh, I´m glad that you are still here even with this shit what is going on at DA now. I hope I will be more here again, but Eclipse is annoying me so badly!

I´ve sketched or drawn Morgy in my version a few times, but it is not as good like this and my painting portrait of him is in work since ... 2 years now ... ARRRRRRRGGGH!

Yeah, I'm not a fan of the now DA either. -_- And I have the impression that the community has decreased a lot.

But I can't wait to see your painting portait in Morgy! ^-^

Yup. Hervorragende Arbeit.

Fantastic! And yeah... it would be nice if Morgoth would stay in Middle Earth, where he belongs...

Thankys! Did you know that Tolkien has created Arda as an early history of our real earth at first? Great Britain corresponded to the land of the hobbits as far as I can remember. Accordingly, Middle Earth may be Europe in this setting. So if you take it exactly, Morgoth belongs to Arda as much as to Earth. ^^

That is true and I did know that (I happen to be part of a Tolkien Society club at my university.. it's the nerdiest thing in the world, and I love it). I guess I still put them into two different categories since evil is manifested so clearly in Middle Earth and can be combated directly in so many ways, while our own reality is so much more blurred as far as that goes.

Well I think Tolkien was right to set the base of all evil in Arda to Middle Earth. Like we see with earth too, back in a few hundret years, once the evil was coming from Europe and dominated all people around the world. Tolkien always was a great history lover, so it is no wonder that these similarities between his fiction and real life exist. And aye your so right, the best nerds are Tolkien nerds!

Cuio i Arda anann!

That’s very true! He was also heavily inspired by Western European mythology and tales like Beowulf, so it fits well.
