So here we are, the last day of September with summer ending over a week ago. Guess that means it's time to end my hiatus and get back to creating some new art. But first, I want to thank those of you who stopped by view, comment or fave on the old drawings from my M9 Project mini-revival. I still have a lot of those unpublished drawings in my archives. However, due to the rather tepid reception those M9 pieces received, I'm going to hold off posting any more of them until some future date. Since it's officially Autumn, I thought it would be fun to take a break from my usual pinup art and get back to creating some work more in tune with the Halloween season. When my longtime DA friend DocRedfield posted his latest fantasy drawing, Conan Melee 2026 ... it inspired me to scourge through my archives and pull out several of my unfinished drawings in the dark gothic fantasy genre. Check out Doc's awesome drawing here... So for the next few months I think I'm going to focus on

[EMOTE] So I'm guessing that hell must have froze over??? Checked in to DA this morning to discover that my deviation "After Midnight" was generously given a DD by SRaffa!! Believe it when I say I'm stunned... in my nearly 8 years on DA I've never considered my work receiving this recognition. There are thousands of artists here that I feel are much more deserving, so I'm truly honored. Gotta give a special shout out to JohnPeri... it's his superb photos that were the inspiration for my style development on this series. I really haven't done any new ink drawings since this summer... I guess this means I shouldn't abandon this style huh? To all those who have commented, faved or added me to your devwatch, I sincerely thank you. KC & Nikki will be out shopping again today... so I'll try my best to respond to all of you. My thanks again to SRaffa... you made my weekend! See ya!  [EMOTE] !!!!! ARTISTS DISCLAIMER !!!!! I absolutely luv my coffee, and with the cooler weather rolling in I'm gonna be sipping my java in high style from this tasty mug which arrived just yesterday from the UK. The artwork is owned & created by my buddy TheBoo and is one of several designs that he offers for on mugs, T-shits, and other cool stuff. I totally dig the brother's work and this one has always been a personal fave. Go check him out and buy something. Thanks bro!! [EMOTE]
