female body reference

feel free to use, feel free to credit. i would love to see what you have done, notes are good ! if I find them extra special, i might even link them up here.

oshi: the elbows line up roughly to the waistline or narrowest part of torso (on women.)

kahlure: ancient egyptians used to measure the proportions of the body in fists, as opposed to heads. which was introduced by the Greeks.

download for photoshop file 6mb

handy: to use this drawing effectively, change the colour of the picture to a light blue. then draw in BLACK ink ontop of the blue. when you scan it, scan in black and white mode, and the light blue will not be seen in the scan. all you get is the black ink you put on the page.

used naiser's female ref. added measurements and scaling.

who apparently copied it out of a drawing book by Christopher Hart - Drawing Cutting Edge Anatomy

Good stuff. Everybody should draw muscle and skeleton sketches before attempting the human figure. I did it 2 years ago when I first started.

~naiser actually copied it out of a drawing book by Christopher Hart.... might want to just note in your description that its based off of his Drawing Cutting Edge Anatomy book.

Yup, I stumbled across it while looking for muscle anatomy and stuff here on DA last night. I recognized it because I have all his books ^^; [link]

I haven't told him, but in his description he made up a bunch of stuff about why he drew this and that etc.

I just started to model a female character in zbrush for use in Poser....
and this will help me a lot to get the proportions right.
