Our rules are also much more elaborated on our RULES & ETTIQUETTE page as well, so please have a look!
The Wyngro community has a lot of rules to remember, so you might get a mod message every now and then. That’s okay! You’re not a “bad member”, so don’t worry. However, if you do, make sure you reply back to your mod message and DO NOT ignore it! Sometimes we’re simply reminding you of things for the future. All you have to do is reply back, letting us know you understand.
•Count your wyns (If you choose not to count wyns for an image, or didn't earn any, please list them as 0/# wyns.)
•List any upgrades applied in the description of the deviation.
•Reply to all mod comments.
•Follow the upgrade rules and requirements.
•Use one account for Wyngro activity. Wyngrew cannot be transferred between accounts.
•Do not post non-canon artwork in the group.
•Follow the wyngro anatomy.
•Draw upgrades like the upgrade image examples.
•Do not make personal subspecies npcs. Both pixies and imps are CLOSED SPECIES.
•Do not post commision/ych openings to the group. For more info, see the Commissions Journal.
•Do not post 'Looking For' submissions to the group. For more info, see the Rattle's Rest Journal.
•Your wyngro must stay in Wynsiph (for now) They can try to live somewhere random in the wild though.
•Do not submit sketches/incomplete art to the group.
Breaking one of the following rules will result in an instant warning, given in the form of a note from the Wyngrew account or a public comment. If you get 3 or more warnings, your next warning will result in a ban!
•Submitting an approval to the gallery yourself. A mod will handle this for you in the approval journal.
•Inciting drama around the group.
•Ignoring/disregarding Mod Comments
•Repeatedly breaking the same rule after it’s been pointed out multiple times.
•Insulting/Harassing a member or staff members.
•Charging currency (money/points) for wyngro related content. (items, characters, outside groups, events)
The trading post and commissions journals have separate rules regarding this.
•Submitting traced art to the group without proper credit/claiming it as your own.
•Blocking any staff member of the group. This includes the creator, partners, sidekicks, and helpers.
(If you have a personal issue with any mod, please contact Nestly privately instead so the issue may be resolved)
•Hiding comments on Wyngro journals, Wyngrew deviations or the front page.
•Singling out a particular person or group in a negative way.
You heard right. Bannable. Breaking one of these rules can and will result in an instant ban from the group. Bans can last anywhere from 1 month to a permanent ban, so please be aware of them!
PLEASE KEEP IN MIND-- We rarely need to resort to banning and it's usually a result of bad attitude/making the rest of the community uncomfortable, or just ridiculous cases of someone not listening. We are very reasonable and forgiving, so don't panic about getting in trouble/banned.
•Receiving 3 or more warnings within one year.
•Making multiple accounts to participate in the group with.
•Promoting activities to members in the group that are illegal in the United States.
•Inciting major drama in the group/hate talking individuals.
•Being younger than 13 years old.(This is part of deviantart's rules as well.)
You can find the rules to our discord channels in the main wyngro discord server. Breaking the discord rules may result in being kicked from the server, receiving a warning, or even being banned from the server or group entirely. Kicks, warnings, and bans related to the discord server will come with an explanation for the reason afterwards via a note or direct message. If you don't receive an explanation within 24 hours, please note the group for help.
Help! I got a mod comment/warning/ban and I don't know what to do!
If you've received a mod comment: It's very important that you reply to it as soon as you've read it to let the mod know you saw it. If you’ve received a mod message on your deviation, we’ll ask you to either fix the problem as soon as possible or remove the deviation from the group. Once removed, it cannot count for wyns, upgrade requirements, or any other group mechanics.
If you've received a warning:
Reply to the warning as soon as possible confirming that you read and understand the contents of it. If you have any questions or believe a mistake was made, please reply to the warning and let us know. We can't help you if you don't say anything!
Your warning should tell you what you did wrong. Just try your best to do what the mods asks you, and maybe take another look through the rules in this journal to refresh your memory.
3 warnings in a year means the next warnable offense could be a ban.
If you've received a ban:
Being banned from the group means it's time for a fair bit of self reflection. Understanding why you received a ban is very important, so take a good look at the reasons listed for your ban and the rules listed in this journal.
Things you can't do if you're banned:
Doing anything listed here may result in your ban being extended or even permanent.
Submit deviations to the group
•Make new wyngrew
•Purchase items/pets/character designs from the group
•Participate in events/group activities
•Join the Wyngro discord
•Offer in the Trading post
•Participate on the Rattle's Rest Bulletin Board.
We won't stop you from drawing your wyngrew during your ban, but any wyngro related deviations uploaded during your ban time can never be submitted to the group. A full list of how unsubmitted art is handled can be found further down in the journal. Failure to adhere to these rules and trying to be sneaky about getting around them will not be tolerated.
In most cases, being banned doesn't mean you're gone forever, so use the time away to take a break and decide whether you’re ready to come back or not.
Coming back from a ban - what to do.
When your ban time has run out, please respond to the original note you were sent and explain your situation and how you’re feeling ready to come back, and understand the instances of your ban.
If your deviations are not submitted to the group due to non-canon content, being banned, or any other reason, they cannot count towards any group mechanics. Here's a full list of what you can't do with art outside of the group.
•Complete upgrade requirements
•Count as participation in events/prompts
•Count for any group mechanics(learning magic, breeding, etc.)
The only thing you can do with unsubmitted art is progress your character's story.
