My plans to unravel Wyngro stories and lore through NPC characters can only go so far-- I want to involve community characters as well!
That means, I want to include and draw your characters!
Why can’t you just use some? Why do I need to sign up?
The problem with collabing stories with friends, is that you don’t technically “own” all the pieces of the story. Now, this can be super fun! A big collaboration with friends can be good motivation, bouncing ideas off other people, and always having an element of ‘surprise’ around the corner, as friends come up with little bits on their own.
The biggest issue is that the story is so delicately balanced on the relationship of all the owners of the characters involved.
If one piece of the puzzle (an artist) becomes disinterested, angry, or falls of the face of the internet, the entire project becomes derailed and/or suffers in continuity/pacing.
This is a sad issue that I’m sure a lot of members of Wyngro have experienced.
While I usually have no problem working around a plot that has been compromised in some way, the simple fact that I WANT Wyngro to progress in story and lore the way I imagine it, means that I cannot take this risk anymore. (You can read more about this in my personal journal where I explain why I converted several of my gros into NPCs)
I want to include your characters, but only by having you understand what needs to happen if I do. So here is your general disclaimer to look scary and cover my ass!
Disclaimer: By commenting below with your desired character(s), you understand that I, Nestly, and by extension the Wyngro group, have the right to use them in any way I see fit. This includes, but is not limited to, website use, portfolio work, sales like future publishing of images, and so on.
I will not be required to provide credit to every use of the depicted character whenever they are posted somewhere publically. (I will always provide into of the original creator if asked, however. I will never claim to have created them if it is untrue.) By submitting to this form, you understand that I will use the provided characters/designs in ways that I deem suitable for all intended purposes, and will not always ask for confirmation/approval when depicting them.
That being said: I’m not a dick and I wouldn’t change the entire personality of your character for no reason. This basically just says you agree to let me use your character, and that I may continue using them even if you leave or change them or don’t want me to use them anymore.
What will I be using the character for exactly?
Most characters that get submitted here would honestly probably only be used as background characters, or have a few lines of dialouge to help push main characters along and enrich the world. If being used more extensively than that, I will most likely be communicating with the character’s owner. But submitting a form for said character here helps keep everything clarified and understood.
So basically, submit your characters to be used in the backgrounds for official Wyngro stories, website use, plot, and so on. It’s free giftart and includes something you created into the official canon! Win-win!
Why should I not submit a character to this form?
The only people I would advise against posting here are people that get overly personal with their characters, and may easily get offended by something being done with them that’s not 100% accurate to what they imagine. There are a lot of artists that can be really sensitive about this type of thing, and if you consider yourself someone who might be uncomfortable with it, then I urge you not to submit here.
If you don’t mind seeing your characters being used in other projects and love seeing how other people draw and imagine them, and are open-minded and excited to see them used outside of your immediate intentions, then this is perfect for you!
What if my Wyngro’s image isn’t complete yet? What if it changes drastically?
Great question! While I would say that submitting your characters more at finalized stages is a good idea, it isn’t super necessary. Especially when they may only be in a one-of scene or as a background character. If you are more comfortable with your character possibly being involved in a larger role, keep in mind that their form would not change that drastically if a story/comic is portraying them, so whatever design you submit will likely be the one used for a while.

TLDR: Hi! Please submit a form here so I can draw your characters in my comics and official Wyngro lore! That would be cool! YEAH! Lets do a group collab and have fun and be awessooooome (Help I really need more motivation for this)
Official Ending Statement that is more professional: Thank you all for applying and helping to make the official lore and stories of Wyngro richer with your creativity and participation!
If anyone has any questions as well, you're welcome to ask in the comments below and I will add them here!
Q: Can I submit Fangros?
Because I intend to use these in potentially official lore/use for comics and such, I would prefer characters submitted but as original as possible. I will ignore the use of characters with very obvious references to popular media characters. If it's very subtle, (such as using aspects of a design or personality) then it should be fine.
Q: How should I format my form?
Try to make things as clear as possible to make it easier to read. (thankyouthankyouthankyou!) Bold questions if possible. That helps a lot. Avoid big blocks of text. Seperate things. Ya know.
Q: How many gros can I submit?
You can submit as many characters as you want! Just separate each character into its own comment, that's all!
