If this is inspired by Skye it’s well worth a visit for sure. Although i don’t remember the faces :D

yes, Scotland has some awesome and dramatic landscapes!
faces??

The rock formations appear to have faces...

oh, i see it :)  now it reminds me of something from Lord of the Rings lol

:D :D i didn’t know it wasn’t intended, but the human eye has a habit of finding faces where they weren't put :D

yep... i tend to see faces on my bathroom floor a lot :D

Bathroom floor? That only happens after late-night drinking parties here and they have heads & bodies attached to them :) just kidding. :D

The gleaming river snaking away across a dark dale is just like my memory. Even the angle in this picture is the same.

it's that same river i used in that castle pic i showed you :)  for sure, its in our memories

Isle of Skye? They put it in a lot of movies lately from the shitty Michael Bey Transformers to the decent Aliens covenant- oh, forgot the shitty Force Awakens.  Apparently the Irish used to believe Scatha lived there, and she would teach the warriors how to fight in her phantasmal forms.  I would like to go there too one day- at this rate never.  How have you been?

Isle of Skye was my first thought too.

yep... is very atmospheric (even on a sunny day i presume) though i've never seen those films but great location. I imagine a god or goddess guards over that landscape.  but I've not heard of Scatha.

lately, shit.  life is shit.

I think i lost my last comment, meh.
Scathach trains CuChullain in her fortress of shadows. I was fairly ignorant on irish mythology until recently, but it has a morbid appeal. Unlike the graeco roman pantheons in many ways. The cattle raid of cooley with queen maeve is something to read too.
Sorry to hear things are shit. I had a very rough year too- though i had many others that were really bad. Please try to find someone who you can talk to, it can make a difference. If you need to note me, i will listen- or read it. Hang in there.

I'm not very good with mythology either, that is, I tend not to read individual stories about events, but rather to understand where the myths originated and who the people were.
yeah, i am seeking professional therapy... and thanks :) although i'm not much of a talker.  My tendency for solitude makes me quite introverted.

My girlfriend is a true introvert. Introverts can be very misunderstood, and life can be hard for them. I hope the therapy works out for you. Therapy can be a lot of hard work too.
I have the same interests with mythology as well.
