Oh, it seems simple ... but sure is not! I would like to make an engraving like yours in a badger skull I have, but I have fear of breaking. I'll try it!

no no no, i found it in the forest many years ago. I have a small collection of animal skulls: a few dogs, pig, cat, birds (incl. eagle), beaver, fox, gorilla... etc, but i do not use any part of my animals body.
pozdro.

This is beautiful.
Do the carvings have any significant meaning, or. . .?

Carved, with what? A dremel? That's really unique!

Thanx!
Yep, i used dremel, but only for finishing. the best tool to work with bone is normal burin.

As in wood burner? The smell of burning bone is nasty but for that result I'm betting it was worth it. Thank you!^^

you might ask the local humane society - or who ever it is that is in charge of picking up road kill animals. i always find my skulls on the road side.
