Site Update: Happy New Year!
What's New As with the previous Site Update, this week's Site Update is a little different than usual in that we don't have any publicly visible changes due to our holiday closure. However, stay tuned because we'll be back in full force next week! In the meanwhile, check out... But if the thriving and ever-growing community of deviantART can give you one gift now and in the year to come, it's the knowledge that you are not alone. Personal update
It's been a while... But hey, here we go. I've been having a break for the last few months, and for a good reason -- a lot of shit happened. The break gave me a lot of time to think about stuff. During that time I've seriously considered not coming back at all. But the friendly but concerned messages that I received from those that were still following me kinda persuade me to keep things updated -- at least once in a while. I've most spend the last few weeks creating stuff in solitude. I haven't spend much time on social media, but made lots of sketches, speed paints, and concepts and chapters for my story. And I have to admit, I kinda came
Is college the best thing for you?
I don't know how many people out there know this, but I never finished college. I attended for roughly 3 years, but it eventually got too expensive for what I was getting out of it. So, I dropped out. At the time, I was slightly ashamed, but it turned out to be for the best. There's a bit of a stigma attached to those who don't follow through on their education, but in the art world, a degree itself often isn't worth the paper it's printed on. In my relatively short career, I've never once been asked if I attended college or even if I have a degree, and I'm not the only one who'll tell you that. Your portfolio and experience are what speaks

They should replace the "exit" with "shit", considering how the country that leave the eu are doomed.

In America we are talking about Calexit, California leaving the USA. People in California are getting serious about it.

That's really interesting - I sometimes wonder what would have happened if there had only been a partial success in the War of Independence and the States had gone their own ways - maybe a western union all down the coast with parts of Canada and Mexico joined in?

No, it would just be CA. Over the last decade or two, California has come to realize that it is different than the rest of America. Californians are more liberal, both socially and politically, more tolerant, and welcoming of foreigners and foreign ideas. The recent election has put those differences with the rest of America into stark contrast. That is the very short version of the Calexit reasoning. Oh, I am originally from California!
