Ironically, I took this photo not very far from my home, because I *had* to be there at the time. (It was early morning in winter and I was heading towards my college.)
Seeing amazing places from far away - yes, it is a great experience. But seeing a place you've seen many times - anew... is magical in its own way

And it can always happen if you are open for the experience!

Yes. The original photo is almost completely gray. (You can see it in my before-after compilation here, if you're interested - 5th photo from the bottom). I played with curves, contrast (both general and local contrast) and I think I used Fast Normalization filter in G'MIC at one point, too. The sky was processed in a bit different way than the rest btw.
