Hello all, Gretz here.
As you've all probably noticed the group is all over the place and quite frankly that doesn't do any good to anyone. The main purpose for this group is to bring together artists and writers to collaborate on things like stories and comics, and not a lot of that is going on.
So what I'm going to do is rearrange the folders, and highlight the folders where the stories or illustrations NEED the opposite.
WHO? WHAT? WHY?
You all may be asking who am I and why am I suddenly doing things ?
Well, I've been an admin since the start of the group and I'm taking over because I feel that the responsibility has shifted onto me. None of the other admins are taking over and
has gone to Navy Prep School ( Congrats man!!) and as such will not be able to dedicate as much time to the group as before.
And to be honest I'm a bit tired to see the group festering here on its own, with nobody to take care of it, and the inactivity bugs me, so I'm going to do my best to lead the group from here on out.
SO WHAT DOES THIS ALL MEAN?
I'm going to reorganize some of the folders, delete old pictures/ stories unless the owners say otherwise. I will give them 2 weeks time until begin to delete things to clear up the clutter, and I will notify them personally 1 week before.
The reson for this being that stories on their own will now be very difficult to submit, since the chances of them getting into an artist-writer collaboration is very small, and that's not what this group is about. Essentially what we want to acomplish is to bring writers and artists together to collaborate, not to be a hodge-podge of lots of pictures and stories (comics will be an exception to this, due to the story and art being merged, and NEW comic series will be turned down unless there's actual proof that there's more than one person working on it. So Dino? You're safe.)
There will also be new folders, those actually requesting to be paired up. That way you can all go check out what you want to collaborate on.
Each new journal will now include a news section.
What's this ? It's a place where all information from our members can be posted on things that they're doing (such as opening commissions, printing books, getting featured/ published on another big site, getting a DD, etc)
So how do you add news if I'm the one writing it? Simple! You send me a note with the details of the news and they will be included!
Another part of the news section is the little part at the bottom, which will include people looking for an art/writing partner to start a completely new project with! So add a comment to the journal and you'll be in the next one under the LOOKING FOR A CREATIVE BUDDY section!
That's about it! I will also be opening up spots for new admins because we'll be having to read through and look at the new submissions (especially those that will be submitted to just writing /art and not those seeking a collab partner).
New journals will be added every other sunday. ( I hope I can keep up with this...)
