Name: Plains Zebra (Equus quagga borensis)
Location: Uganda
Size: 1, 4 m high weight: 340 kg
Diet: grass, lot of water needed
Predators: lions, cheetahs, leopards, hyenas
Interesting facts: the mane is missing | zebras live in family groups of 5-20 members, they often keep close to other zebra’s family groups and wildebeests | the herd has its hierarchy. The leader of the herd is a female | young males often gather into bachelor groups | they are active during the day | they are rolling in sand to get rid of parasites | the female gives birth to one baby every year | life span of this zebra is 20-40 years
