____________

INFO ABOUT THE ANIMAL:

Name: Fennec fox (Vulpes zerda or fennecus zerda)
Location: Sahara Desert - North Africa and Sinai
Size: 40 cm long body + 25 cm long tail weight: 1,5 kg
Diet: rodents, insects, birds, eggs, desert vegetation (fruit, roots, berries)
Conservation status: Least Concern
Interesting facts: female fox gives birth to 2-5 kits and both parents then take care of the babies: mother does not allow the male to come closer to cubs, but the male still brings her some food | fennec foxes use their huge ears for good hearing and also for thermoregulation! | fennec foxes have fur on their paws, so they can run on hot sand | fennec foxes have black tips on their tails | fennec foxes are mostly active during night | fennec fox is said to be the only species of fox, which can be kept as real domestical pet | fennec foxes are surprisingly swift, as they can run fast and jump very hight | fennec foxes are the smallest species of all foxes | chihuahuas (dogs) are NOT related to fennec foxes, athough some people think so!
ZOO: in the Czech republic, fennec fox is kept in ZOO Prague, ZOO Olomouc and ZOO Dvur Kralove nad Labem.

You did a good job shooting the photo, and the quality is good, but the originality isn't that big. I could just go on Google Images and search animals yawning and see thousands of pictures other than yours. But... You probably wouldn't see this fox yawning from someone else's gallery. Although you rarely have a chance to see these animals yawning (in person or not) it's not like it was your idea to do it anyway. But then again, you picked an animal that's rarely picked, and that's what I'm looking for. You used a good technique when shooting as always, but wherever you shot this picture looks unnatural, especially the lighting. But good job, though.

thank you very much and the lighting is indeed unnatural, it is indoor and noctural enclosure

Vision: 100%. First my mind was: 'OMFG DAT METAAAAAL!!!' Very monster, >that< face + dark BG = HORROR ACTION... but... hey, it's justa fennec fox, =^.^= little, cute & 'used to be domesticated', as described. Still, first time it's hard to get, whoever it's, even if you know that fennec foxes has a BIG ears (+5 to terrifyin' =^w^= ). Face also like cat from that view.
Originality: The horror theme's not new, but SUCH photos >are< rare. Most of so-called 'horror' photos' like >vore<, but not >horror<. Not that one. And that contrast: spooky/kawaii - you did it well.
Tech: Almost perfect. Dark BG, light spot on a fox's face. That focuses a watcher on a main (& adds + 10 to horribility =^w^= =^w^= =^w^= ). The mouth's dark, it reduces an effect a little, but it's good-detailied, so it helps to feel a fury of a furry to keep an effect. Yet, there's a light sand, which also decreases a level of total terror (sry for the metalhead slang =>.<= ), but the face's big in compare to photo size - first what you notice IS RRRAAWWWRRRRRR FROM THE DARKNESS... & only after that you see that the darkness isn't so dark (& the fox's not so monster... not a monster at all =^.^= )
Impact: See 'vision' =^_^=

Another of your fantastic photos. I can't tell if it's cute or... creepy. When I read the title and then look at the photo, I always seem to think "The most terrifying fox ever????" instead. It's cute though. It's a mix of cute (for squeamish people) and scary (for horror lovers. It's that scary!) I envy you. Who gets to take pictures of amazing animals all the time?! You do. I just love your photography! You always seem to find the right animals at the right time! Go fennecs! Go animals! Go... Woxys! This is great, Woxys. good-no great job as usual!

this is a ferocious-adorable facial expression. its a very comical-looking creature when its making this face (large narrow mouth, tiny teeth, squinted eyes, and huge ears) and even when its not it looks cute. it seems like its screaming "rawr! i ish a monsta! teehee..."
it may be just me, but it looks like the shot could use some color variation. its all tan, but its not like you could pick up and move the little guy haha. but its probably just me since im more into bright color and contrast. great job overall and please check out my work as well. <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s…" width="15" height="15" alt=":)" title=":) (Smile)"/>

For such a small fox, this animal is quite interesting.. It looks like it's saying "Back away from me." Yet sweet at the same time. It somewhat looks like a demon. The lighting in the photo is amazing. You captured the expression on the animals face very well. The sand is a great way to camouflage it's body into it's natural habitat. Your camera work is nice and steady.
I myself could never take a picture as well as this.
I have no suggestions what so ever!
An AMAZING job you did.
I can't help but look at your gallery!
