Hello dear artsy friends,
I was asked by an American writer to produce 16 pencil illustration (B&W) for her fantasy novell, landscapes all. Needless to say I am very excited about this! :happybounce: At the moment we are in the beginning stages of the project, having four concepts approved and the first drawing almost finished.
It is great to return to pencil work (although I miss my colour work right now ;) ). I simply do not have the time next to some other freelance design jobs, a full time day job and a family. Hope I can squeeze in some speedies every once in a while for your and my entertainment.

So, I've conjured up this image of William the Conqueror disembarking his troops on the beaches of England on the 28th of September 1066 AD. Now doing some research into the proper outfitting of the troops under the Duke of Normandy at the time of his invasion. Hoping to find the right heraldry for the banners. Tips are most welcome ;) I'm scouring my book on the Bayeux tapestry. It gives all sorts of clues on the weapons and armour. Awesome! :happybounce:
Be leaving on a short trip to the US for a family visit (7-14 June). A highschool graduation and a wedding. :happybounce:
Means no paintings the coming week and a half. I'll bring my sketchbook so I hope I'll have something to share with you once I get back.
