Time. In the eyes of many its the force that all things abide by. It entangles our existence and guides us through the many trials of our lives. Time initializes seasons, allows people to grow and learn and permits wondrous phenomenon to exist like nebulaeic clouds and galaxies to move into existence. Time is like a river, ever flowing and moving throughout or lives, occasionally streaming through the obstacles and turmoils of our lives like rocks in a river. In its flow, we are nothing more than leaves locked within its current, traveling through the flowing waters like the roads of life that constantly wind and dip. Our lives make up it current, our deeds make up the trails and basins, our actions are what stir the water and ripple it through the waters of our history in order to make an impact upon others. Time can be salvaged in the right hands and can be assimilated into new life, but if this time is wasted, it will soon stagnate and become no more; an opportune time with boundless potential now gone and never to be seen again. deadline created by `autumnnights, displays such an instance with time and how its waste is depicted.

My first glance immediately opened my mind up to how this concept came to fruition. For one, the photography really adds a lot of depth both visually and symbolically. The partially blurred female subject in the background, could be a better representation of how one can be almost blurred under the waves of time, only to reach clarity and surface later on in life, lest they would be swept away under its current never to be seen again. The decaying pocket watch as it hangs from the single branch can represent how time could be wasted and can decay without interaction. Like how opportunities must be taken advantage of while they are still fresh, as is the same for time. If it is not used, it will remain a lonely and unused opportunity, waiting solemnly as it awaits the next to seize it before it expires.

This piece carries a powerful message behind it and is a real treat to see. It carries a unique atmosphere as well as a smooth photographic style that draws the attention of the viewer and almost makes you feel like its staring back.
