Hybrid Of: Monstrous Nightmare, Shivertooth

The Frosty Flameblight is almost unique amongst hybrids because it has a variable metabolism. This hybrid is able to heat its own body up to blistering hot temperatures or cool its own body down to the point of inducing nigh instant frostbite when touched... all without being able to set itself on fire like its Monstrous Nightmare kin. This hybrid dragon makes up for its lack of flammability with razor sharp horns, back spines, and tail spikes- which it uses for a high speed rolling attack which slices, dices, and pins its opponents all at once. This dragon is also unique for producing a deceptively cold flame... which splashes and spreads all over the place and is very difficult to put out despite burning at an incredibly low temperature. This "cold fire" is naturally secreted by the Frosty Flameblight as a form of super cooled, slimy gel, which is incredibly runny and flows easily, which can make it both easier and harder for a viking to collect. Like that of the Monstrous Nightmare, the Frosty Flameblight's gel had proven extremely flammable and can be ignited by the flames of other dragons... albeit being not as flammable as regular Nightmare Gel. This dragon is capable of climbing up a number of different terrains, an ability which is bolstered by the Shivertooth's flexible, vaguely finger like claws. This species is also able to produce a wing blast powerful enough to knock a large opponent to the ground. This hybrid's scales are highly prized for having medicinal properties, namely their low temperature... unlike the Shivertooth, the Flameblight has toxic saliva which cannot be used for healing. The Frosty Flameblight, like the Monstrous Nightmare, is a naturally fearless and proud dragon, which is not above the mischief and pranks pulled by its Shivertooth parent. Like the Shivertooth, the Frosty Flameblight is capable of strategizing and even quickly disabling would be opponents... but it can still be blinded by its own rage and attack first, ask questions later. Its especially prone to incinerating its own surroundings if spooked. Training this dragon is no easy prospect given its contrarian nature, but it can be won over if a prospective trainer successfully pins its horns to sufficiently soft ground (or snow), feeds it enough food, or even engages in pranks with the dragon.
