If the Sizzlecrasher was already a strange dragon to reckon with, then the discovery of the Bellowsear caused even more shockwaves to ripple out throughout the viking world... in some cases literally! This massive dragon boasts the same incredibly destructive firepower as the Sizzlecrasher, but in an even more powerful form: the fireballs themselves are much larger than normal and shot off in rapid fire bursts, peppering any village that comes under attack in a barrage of explosive impacts. These explosive impacts are individually more destructive, for the crystal shards embedded within the fireballs are larger, even hotter, and propelled much further and faster than the Sizzlecrasher's counterparts. This alone makes the Bellowsear an even more formidable foe in battle than its smaller counterpart. As if that in and of itself wasn't bad enough, the Bellowsear can set itself on fire in an almost white hot fire jacket. This fire jacket comes from a more powerful version of the Sizzlecrasher's gel, which also comes with an additional hazard once set alight. This gel is prone to shedding embers once it's on fire, which carries a risk of setting off secondary fires, much like its explosions. For this reason, this particular variation of Monstrous Nightmare gel is rarely used by vikings who aren't trying to deliberately set multiple fires with little effort. Although partially reliant on its impressive firepower, the Bellowsear also boasts tremendous size, physical strength, and an arsenal of weaponry that it can turn against its opponents with terrifying force. Its jaws alone are large and strong enough to crush large boulders into little more than fragments and fine dust. Its skull is better adapted to bashing and crushing than most, enabling it to break through entire sea stacks without breaking a sweat. Its scales are extremely dense and thick, enabling it to withstand pretty much any attack smaller dragons and vikings can throw at it, save for a well aimed spear throw, ballista bolt, or spine shot to the wing membranes. If it does get hit, the Bellowsear can hit right back with a single swing of its long, spiny tail- which acts like a massive, oversized flail. One strike can be enough to demolish a catapult tower. Additionally, the Bellowsear is armed with a powerful scream capable of disorienting most dragons and stunning vikings. Surprisingly, the Bellowsear is slightly faster than its smaller cousin, being able to exploit its larger size to gain more momentum, but what it gains in speed, it loses in agility- this dragon doesn't so much weave through complex enviroments so much as it clumsily crashes through them, leaving an unintentional trail of destruction in its wake. It does still try to perform complex maneuvers as best it can when it needs to, though. Another possible cause of large ares of destruction that doesn't stem from the Bellowsear's firepower is its wing blast- this blast is powerful enough to uproot and launch entire groves of mature trees incredible distances. It can use its roar to summon and command smaller Sizzlecrashers, and also attempts to exert some form of limited control over Monstrous Nightmares and their other hybrids as well as Whispering Deaths and their hybrids, but it has less success actually getting Monstrous Nightmares to do anything than it does Whispering Deaths. Its as capable of climbing as its smaller cousins are, enabling the Bellowsear to get the drop on any animal that doesn't expect it to be slinking down a cliff face above them, along with a whole pack of Sizzlecrashers... While the Bellowsear's jaws are capable of expanding and dislocating from each other to handle large prey and boulders, this dragon rarely uses this ability, as most of its prey is small enough to fit inside its mouth as it is, as are most rocks and boulders. Like the Sizzlecrasher, the Bellowsear's personality is extremely variable. Some are friendly enough to get along with most dragons and vikings, while others are incredibly violent and destructive. And still others carry the same proud and fearless disposition as their smaller, more purely fiery counterparts. They can also be impulsive and easily distracted, active and playful, or intimidating and hostile. As such, training is similarly variable to training a Sizzlecrasher- a recommended first step is to observe the individual Bellowsear and get to know it before trying to train it. Similar training methods to those of its ancestor species can then be used to train this powerful hybrid.
