As stated in William Oxton's Reference, synths have a few cybernetic parts which are shared across all models, these being the neural net, a tracking implant, and detachable cybernetic arms. The neural net is the most important of these cybernetic parts- without it, a cyborg synth can't interface with its other cybernetic body parts and its high tech armor. This neural net also enhances the synths brain to super computer -esque levels, allowing to think as fast, process and store large amounts of data, and learn more quickly than a human can. The neural net is primarily integrated into the nervous system of the synth, which makes installing, removing, or replacing a neural net an extremely delicate procedure. In fact, the procedure can be so delicate that one wrong move could kill the poor synth. The tracking implant, on another hand is placed in a way less life threatening location- it's surgically implanted into the synths abdomen, usually right behind the navel. This tracking implant acts as a cross combination of a tracking beacon and an identity verification device. Unusually, this implant "bonds" with its host, imprinting a record of their individual genome upon its activation. If someone other than the implants host (or Buy N Large higher ups) attempts to activate/use it, or even hack into it, they will trigger the implants self destruct mechanism... which leads to a small explosion. So far, all third party attempts to disable the mechanism have failed. The cybernetic arms on another hand provide a direct interface with any technological components built into the synths gauntlets/vambraces, while the cybernetic eyes interface directly with the helmets main technological component: the camera lenses/visor which the synth uses to see and express themselves. Technological interfacing with the components in the breastplate and the synths collar are handled by the artificial second heart (aka heart core) and motherboard (which also acts as an artificial second brain.)
Skipper, as the name suggests, has a particularly intimate connection with the water. They are frequently seen diving into and swimming around the Lido Deck pools despite the life guard robots admonishments. they'll even ambush the life guard robots and splash them on occasion- which doesn't do much considering that they are literally poolside robots whose only job is to keep an eye on swimmers and spout rules at them. They also have some well cared for aquariums in their quarters, displaying several species of extraterrestrial and genetically engineered aquatic life forms ranging from a type of fish like organism from Europa to a tank of genetically modified sea slugs which come in bright colors, have "rabbit ear" protrusions, and eat just about anything. They've also got an extra freezer's worth of fish specifically for distracting/dissuading any dragon who tries to break into their aquariums and eat their pets. Many of these fish are traded for, but they also catch a lot of fish themselves, and even have their own small scale hatchery tank so that any fish eggs that they find get a decent shot at hatching into fry and eventually being released into the wild as fingerlings. Mulch, Bucket, and Snotlout have taken a vested interest in the hatchery and have been pestering them to start a hatchery in the main Hairy Hooligan Village.
