Deviation Actions
Description
William sat at the desk, poring over a block of code. He clicked on part of a line and added to it, patching an incomplete instruction. He spotted another error- a missing order in a command tree, and filled that missing programming in. He next reviewed the same command tree for errors, missing options, and duplicate orders, sighing as he removed three duplicates and then went in to fill in another missing action set. He sat back and stretched, silently cursing the mistake riddled amateur programming that the technicians had thrown together for Bonnie while he was redesigning the rabbit. William glanced at the clock- it was nearly 7 pm, and he could already smell Henry's cooking wafting up from the kitchen. He refocused on the text editor in front of him and started rewriting an improperly programmed test sequence for Bonnie.
The door creaked open and Charlie crawled into her father's makeshift lab, making her way over to the fun looking boxes sitting off to one side of the desk. Looking up, she skirted behind her father and opened a box up, pulling out the empty shell of Bonnie's head. Thinking it to be a fun mask, she plopped the shell on top of her own head and started blindly crawling around the room. The shell's jaw fell open as she crawled, revealing her own goofy grin. Charlie didn't mind that the empty head was too big for her to wear properly, and that all she could see was the purple interior of the rabbit's head- she thought goofilly crawling around wearing it was fun! Charlie blindly crawled under one of the desks, and tipped the trash can over, spilling a bunch of crumpled pieces of paper onto the floor. She laughed and clapped her hands, then started crawling around the room again. She heard her father yip, "What The?!?", and exclaim, "Charlie, you goofball! That's going to be part of an animatronic!", as she blindly crawled out from under the desk.
Charlie laughed and blew a raspberry at her father as she felt him pick her up and carry her over to the computer desk where he was working on the code. He put her down on the floor next to his chair and resumed typing away at the keyboard. Charlie laughed and started feeling around her surroundings again. She unexpectedly felt fur- and something headbutted her. She reached out and petted the warm fuzzy object. It had long, floppy ears. The mask briefly tipped down, letting Charlie catch a glimpse of a rabbit sniffing at the mask and holding the nose down with its front paws. Charlie giggled and squealed, "Luna!", then started crawling around the room again, the mask settling back into place as she started crawling again. She didn't get far before she felt her father picking her back up and playfully scolding her, "Silly Bunny! We don't play with animatronic parts!" The tone of his voice changed to a more serious one, and he explained, "Those parts can be super dangerous, and I don't want you or Sam getting hurt." Charlie felt herself getting plopped back on the floor next to her father's chair, where he could keep an eye on her while he worked. She laughed again- and chirped, "Daddy Funny!", as her father muttered, "Good thing that head's completely empty...", under his breath and resumed working.
Charlie felt another warm fuzzy object nestle behind her- she wasn't sure if it was Luna or Calvin... but she laughed all the same. Charlie then heard the distinct sound of clawed paws clattering against the floor, and the thumping gait of a cat with the zoomies. She squealed, "Calvin!", as she heard the cat run into the room and race a lap around the room. She then heard Calvin pounce into the spilled paper, and start playing with it. Giggling, she clapped her hands. A moment later, the clawed paws raced her way, and Charlie felt something warm and fuzzy nuzzling her. She felt out the cat's back and started petting it, squeaking, "Fuzzy kitty!" The mask was suddenly and unexpectedly removed from her head, allowing Charlie to see her dad smiling and shaking his head as he put the mask on the desk- out of her reach. She reached up for him and chirped "Funny Mask!" Her dad gently but firmly explained, "Funny mask is going to be part of an animatronic. It's not meant for you to wear, Charlie..." Charlie, dissapointed, said, "Want funny mask!" Her dad shook his head and offered, "Daddy can make you a hat that looks like funny mask- you can wear that safely- oh, not you too, Sam!" Sam giggled as he started blindly crawling around the room wearing an empty Foxy head.
William sat on top of the bed, sketching on a piece of paper. He felt something crawl into his lap and looked down, startled by the unexpected sensation. He found himself staring at Charlie, who looked back up at him and smiled. Sam joined her in her father's lap, and William smiled back at them. He showed them the sketches he had been working on. They showed a bunch of different hats, each one based on one of the Fredbear's Family Diner characters. He pointed two of them out, and said, "These two are based on the "Funny Masks" you two tried on earlier- well- they're based on the characters whose heads you were wearing." As he got into bed, Henry asked, "They wore what earlier?!?" William explained, "The empty heads of Bonnie and Foxy... We're going to have to baby proof the boxes and move them so that they don't stumble across anything more dangerous than an empty pair of heads and mistake them for toys..." Henry smiled and asked, "And I take it that the hats came from the kids wearing these empty heads?" William nodded and explained, "They seem to like the characters... and I want them to stay safe... so I'm toying with the idea of making them hats- so they can wear something of the characters safely." Henry smiled and grasped his partner's wrist, gently kissing William's hand. William blushed, "Aw, Henry! You didn't have to-" Henry snuggled his partner and cut him off, "No, that's a brilliant idea. Making something safe to wear that emulates the characters. Too bad we didn't study tailoring in college..." William fell deep into thought for a moment, tapping his face with the eraser end of his pencil as he thought. He remarked, "We could ask Edwin if he'd be okay with making a clothing line based on the characters... he knows a lot more about tailoring than we do." Henry remarked, "True. I also get the feeling that your brother will find a way to turn that idea into a money spinner." William pushed his glasses back into place and remarked, "You know what? I'm sure that there are a lot of other kids who want to wear something based on their favorite Fredbear's character... maybe even some adults. Besides, clothing is made to be safe to wear... I think we could get George on board with a clothing line- it'll satisfy Charlie and Sam wanting to wear Bonnie and Foxy as... hats... our desire to keep the kids safe, and George's... business instincts." Henry remarked, "Now that you put it that way... talk about a win-win situation, right?" William smiled and exchanged the paper for a notebook. He jotted down a short list of programming edits to make to Bonnie's cobbled together programming, and then settled down for the night.
