And You Belong With Me by Woodland-Mel And You Belong With Me by Woodland-Mel
My first attempt with painter, I... had a hard time. I think I need to go read some artists tutorials to see how people do things, it was a little overwhelming. I ended up finishing in photoshop *shrugs and laughs* always going back to what I'm used too :)

My little characters, Korin and Melora. I was listing to Coldplay, and one of the songs just seemed to fit. Music is my muse.

I like it, the girl is adorable, but is it just my imagination, or is he about to finger her? :D It looks like he's slipping his hand down her dress. It's probably just my guttery mind.

Wow! This is a beautiful piece of artwork! I love the way you draw faces and expressions! Very nice!

hey i like it. the girls position and expressions is very natural and looks awesome. but the guys side profile looks kinda flat in comparison to how dynamic is body and shirt are. not to mention the girl is stealing all the attention here =) cheers!

Thanks! and I can't even begin to tell you how much I think you're right with that. His face does look so very flat in comparison, I didn't even realize it. I need to step away from drawings sometimes maybe, I just don't see stuff when I'm working.

ah, your shading is stunning as always. I love the traditional look it carries and the warm feeling you managed with the strokes of color. The flow of the colors makes the image look even more alive.
And the color scheme is wonderful. I can't decide if imagine them in front of a fire, or maybe watching the dusk.
Btw, wonderful these little great details you put here and there. The patern on his sleeves, or the locks of her hair are things that bring life for the image X3

Heh, I'm just getting into Painter also. I spent about 24hrs + on my first piece just trying to get the feel of my style. Tough challenge after coming from years of photoshop. I think you've done really great here! There's a wonderful atmosphere with the free flowing brush strokes. *chuckles* He's looking down her shirt ;)

I'm not good with words. They are so stubborn and hard... But I want to fill this less words with meaning of feeling from picture: soft, nice, gentle...

Lovely, warm color scheem and lighting. I like the interactions between the characters and the expression on the girl's face.

Only nitpick would be the I think some kind of indication of the lightsource in the backgroun would be a help. it looks like they're sitting there watching the sunset/rise, and a glow in the sky, even a subtle one, would join that back layer with the characters.
