So yeah it is a new even more optimized version. Contains all presets from [link] + 2x version of Tetro to show how much faster it become. On my home gaming desktop it manages 10k balls with 30FPS :omg:

If you are wondering why it is 8 version and and where are version 6 and 7. Well those were some tests and tweaks that did not prove to be useful. So here is 8. If you want to learn more then here is journal telling how this version came to be

I remember the other version :) Much improved!
In the "geometrical" view it seems some of the balls stitch together sometimes. I don't remember them doing this in the other version... :)

Nah simulation wise they should be are the same. Only difference is how collisions are filtered. Though previous version where i used grids there was a fatal fatal where some collisions that should have happened were filtered out. So I guess that was causing the difference. As for stitching, need to check why it happens but for now more interested in trying various ways/forms of collision resolution/integration for stability in some situations. Check my last work.

Arh... Because of the "hurry" my life become in last year my English writing worsened :( Not stopping to recheck what I wrote and rethink some parts... Then rereading later what I wrote makes me "argh" :)

Well sadly I need to do some hackery programmer should not do(like they don't in C++, compiler does) to get some part of it. Other then that, its just continues experimentation. Experimenting what works faster and what not. I guess like you were doing experimenting what works well and what not with those panoramic photos :)

Also it is not that heavy on the math side actually. If you take only Verlet thing it's all is just sorting, range checks, distance finding... All middle school math :)

Bad :D Or I guess so :D For now I use a very simple collision resolution but I plan to add many different ones so that I could pick something for a special case or even have multiple in same game depending on object types and situation.

Anyways next thing I plan to add is groups, then will be adding various variations of collision resolution to this.

Ah, look at Geometrical... the particles that disappear are now clashing in weird ways :XD:

Maybe you can track the position and speed of just those crashing particles and see what was actually going on.

Hard landing now has a nicely arranged ground. Not so with the plane and the Tetro animation. Is this an entirely different physics engine?

Will probably check it out later. Ones that disappear are ones that ended up in same position of space. As for stacking it should now happen so I should check why it does. May be there are more flaws :D

Haha, that's how I felt when made those changes... You can say that I found two flaws with my algorithms, which kind of damaged my certainty in my skills :D But good part of it is that I got this algorithm now :D
