Heart of the Lone Wolf
On top of a mountain I sit and watch the sun set
beautiful colors racing across the sky.
in hues of yellow, purple blue and red
as darkness comes ... I rest my weary head.
The goddess rises slowly from the east
softly caressing away the day...
she embraces me with her light and caresses the inner beast.
"Come out ... oh come out" she softly says
smiling upon me as my body starts to change
teeth into fangs ... nails into claws
eyes burning amber ... human to canid jaws.
my senses are heightened I can hear what you say
I smell your scent from many miles away
Tonight your my victim ... its unknown to you
with one fatal bite ... your life is through.
so is my life ... thus I live it alone.
I howl in the night for all the pain I've known.
no friends or family, no lovers are near
no one can tame me, no one....I fear.
