Day of Logs and Notes - Scouting
The two rexes work their way around the cove, looking for anything they could use and making note of where it was found for later. At least, that was the plan, but it wasn’t going according to plan very well if you asked Jespism. But, she’s making the best of it. Moonlight clings to leaves and branches like honey, lighting the path before them. The sound of waves through the trees is hypnotic, and lulls Leiroy into a sense of ease.
Leiroy makes note of every interesting sound they come across, while his companion for this outing struggled\s to keep up with him. It’s not like he’s trying to leave her behind, and every time he does a ball of guilt sinks in his stomach. Not that it stops him fast enough to not take off ahead of her when something catches his attention. But, he was improving, at least he thought so. Jespism’s pencil scratches behind him as he inspects the end of a log he heard croaking.
He lifts it carefully, and is delighted to see a frog - or is it a toad? -

Day's Rest - Scouting - Chelleron
Country air fills her lungs with that sweet heady smell that one can only really find outside the city. Chelleron’s first visit to the countryside in a few weeks, and she's loving every second of it. There’s a small cabin of sorts near a spring that makes a nice quiet getaway when she has time, like today. Her bag rests heavy and comfortable along her back as she unlocks the door into the cabin with a muffled clink, and within moments it’s on the chair near the door.
She gets to work preparing the simple dwelling for her stay. It’s not until she gets to the wood pile that she realizes that she needs to replenish it. Oh well, she thinks, what’s one more task? Chelleron unpacks her bag, and inspects the room as she does so, looking for anything else she might’ve missed that it was in need of. It’s clean, if a bit dusty, but some things need a good shaking out, and she needs to replenish the dried herbs hanging from the roof.
Within minutes she’s back out the door, going into the

Courtship - Grura and Cider
Cider looks around the market at all the delectable ingredients they could use for the feast tonight. They wander among the stalls, grabbing things here and there, planning out what dishes they’d make, especially the desserts. Unfortunately, there were some key herbs that were missing. They take their haul back home and spread it out, before grabbing a harvesting basket.
It takes only a few minutes for Cider to reach the forest's edge, everything smelled crisp in the way that only fall can. Leaves crunch under their feet as they make their way into the woods. They head towards the spot they normally go to for some key herbs, and is surprised to see someone else already there foraging the herbs.
“Oh hello, I didn’t know someone else was coming to this spot. Sorry to disturb you,” Cider says and goes to leave for a different spot.
The other rex turns around, “Oh no, don’t worry about it! I’m just gathering some herbs to use, the market didn’t have everything I was looking for today.

It’s not until he turns around a rocky outcropping that he sees that he was in fact, the second (and last) one to reach the meeting point. Ogenus lets out a bellow in greeting, and Leiroy returns in kind. He jogs the rest of the way down the beach, where Ogenus then thumps his back.
“Ready to go down into the deep blue, Lei?” Ogenus asks with a grin on his face, already wading into the water.
Leiroy lets out a bark of laughter, following him, “yeah, let’s go. Last one to the bottom gets dinner for the both of us!”
Leiroy dives off the edge, using his arms and powerful tail to propel himself down as quickly as possible. He feels, more than hears, Ogenus dive in after him. Soon they both continue by the light of their halos, going down at a steady pace. Ogenus cracks jokes at Leiroy’s expense.

Cider swims ahead of El to grab the bags from where they’d left them. They step into the warmth and air of the Dome, and the sensation makes them shiver with the sudden shift. The crab snaps its claws unhappily in the air. Close behind them came El, moving fluidly from the water to the open air of the Dome. Now standing firmly on dry ground, he holds out one of the scales to admire it in the simulated sunlight.
“Oh wow, that shine is gorgeous. We should definitely go back to grab more,” he says, turning the scale over in his hands.
“Definitely, I know a few artisans who’d love to work with something like that,” they say, admiring the scales in their own hands.
“One bag each should do it, right?” he asks them, going through the small pile of gear.
Cider nods their head, “Yeah, let’s bring the nets with us still, just in case we find anything larger. The bags here would be the best, they secure tightly and won’t get ruined by the saltwater.”
El hands them a bag, and secures his own.

Cider shuffled on their feet near the Dome’s edge, eagerly waiting for their friend to arrive. They’d agreed to meet up here after he’d come into the dome to explore the trench together in the usual places. A few minutes go by, and the familiar footsteps of their friend come into range. Cider perks up and goes running down from the Dome’s edge to meet him.
“El, you made it! Did you bring the nets you were talking about?”
El comes into view from around a bush, “I did, and you weren’t kidding about how busy it’s been in the city with merchants here. Leaving early was a good idea.”
Cider grins and moves back towards the Dome’s edge, “ready to go?”
“I am, here’s your net Cider,” he says and moves up beside them.
They both pass through the Dome’s wall into the crushing depth of the trench as easily as one slips into a pond. The light from the dome’s simulated daylight illuminates the area around them. They both move and dance in the water before Cider makes the mental link.

Perilous Paths Doomsday - Chapter 3 - Lono
Lono carefully swam through the maze of flooded hallways and labs. He wasn’t sure where he was going yet, but moved ever forward. Many of the lights on this level were out completely, but some still worked even with the flooding. Far down a hallway, around a corner, he sees a faint glow unlike any he’s seen in awhile. It’s not the usual lighting used in the hallways, maybe something in one of the labs? Going up for a quick breath of fresh air, he follows the glow.
Around the corner he sees that it was in fact the now crumbled doorway into a lab. With a few twists of his flippers he was through the gap in the wall. He looks around to find the source of the eerie glow and is met face to face with a glass tube as large around as his neck. Inside is something that looks like one of the land dwellers, but he struggles to get a good look. The glass is coated in a film of algae and sediment.
He tries to rub some off with his neck and clouds the water around him. Lono waits for it to clear
The dome is in shades of lavender and grey as Lito heads towards the forest outside of town again. He's glad to beat the crowds, even though it means he lost some sleep. The only ones up with him at this hour are merchants, parents, and caretakers. He sees a few coming and going, merchants setting up their wares, and a young rex yawning as she tends to a small flock of pheasants. The air has a heavy dampness to it from yesterday's rain.
All in all, a quiet morning. Today Lito decided to bring two baskets with him; certain mushrooms were in season and he wanted to gather what he could for dyes. While he's out, he'll still keep an eye out for a plant that matches the description he'd been given. There were a few that were likely suspects that he gathered before, but he must've not had enough to get any workable dye out to test. Surely the recent rains would give him a better chance at finding what he needs, as well.
As Lito enters the outskirts of Atlas, he immediately

The streets of Atlas are busy in the early morning as Lito makes his way to the forests outside the city. It's a day when many merchants have arrived, and many of the citizens clearly decided to heat to market early to see what wares they can buy. With him is an empty basket, wax paper, and writing tools, but not money to buy anything. Though the merchants he passes try to get his attention to inspect their wares. I need to make it out of the city before late morning, he thinks, trying to move quickly through the crowds. It takes longer than he'd like, but he still pushes forward, being polite to those that he bumps in his bid to get to the forests quickly.
At last, Lito makes it out of the city, and he immediately sets down a familiar trail. The early morning sky begins to intensify into midday on the dome, and he hurries faster down the trail. Soon the trail peters out as he approaches his destination. Then, he's alone in the woods besides the animals. Taking a deep

"Young Mellitus! Come in, come in. Here, set those down there. I have some good brew for you to try, before you work," the older Rexal clapped him on the shoulder and reached for an amphora.
"Don't worry, I'll try it afterwards! What did you need done today, Egalius?" Lito asks, preparing his tools.
"Oh, a thorough dusting and sweep. If you don't mind, the floors also need scrubbing. Did Iternia give you the scrub brush? Ah, I see it. Yes. I also have some items that are ready to be picked up," Egalius shuffles around, moving things out of the way.
Lito grabs the duster and asks, "Usual merchants?"

But, the door was unlocked. Inhale. Exhale. See if it opens. He pushes on it experimentally, and it moves smoothly on silent hinges. Another pause. Then he shoves it the rest of the way open. A second door in a small square room is on the other side. At first he thinks it’s mesh on the walls to see through, then he realizes it’s mesh inside glass. Odd. This second set of doors requires the card again, and like the one behind him opened smoothly, and silently.
Inside, a cavernous room of horrors awaits him. His eyes take a few minutes to adjust to the suddenly blinding light. At first Ra can only see shadows of large objects, and then the ceiling was high above him as halos of light in shadow. Faint cracks in the walls. As his eyes come back into focus, he realizes the true horrors of what lay

He wanted to get a better mental map of this level of the labs for more efficient exploration later. Lights flicker above his head where they were still functioning.
He rounds a corner off the main hallways, into a smaller hallway with fewer functioning lights. Best part is I don't smell or hear anyone down this way, he thinks to himself. The first set of doors he comes across are half collapsed and bear large gouges from where some other dinosaur had tried to force their way in. It’s hard for him to gauge what species might’ve done it, but chances were it was the residents of this level. He can see some light coming in from the

Descent Doomsday Chapter II - Nero
Nero stepped carefully through the hallways leading down to the next zone. He’d heard the warning from the albertosaurus about the ones who lived on this level and how unkindly they took to trespassers. But, there were also stories of the wonders that could be found here from those who’d made it back. So, here he was, slinking through the hallways that led to Zone B. He strained his senses for any hint of the dacentrurus that made this level their home. Nero rounded a corner, and saw one of the great ramps that led down to the lower level. He decided to chance a peek.
Parallel to the ramp on the other side of the room was a staircase that led down. Hmmm, should I go around? He wondered. A rumble came from where some lights were broken, setting his quills on edge. A great dacentrurus stepped into view, her nostrils flaring as she scanned the room for any sign of intruders. She rumbled again as she approached the ramp, tail swaying with each step. Looks like the stairs are my best bet.

Into the Unknown Doomsday - Chapter 1 - Fade II
Fade triple checked that his cache was secure. After he left the half flooded section, he’d made up his mind to go back in again and see what else he could bring back. Which meant he’d need to stash the things he did bring back the first time somewhere secure. He’d found a secluded hollow wedged behind some solid appearing rocks with a large amount of brush covering the openings. If he hadn’t been paying attention, he could have broken his leg by stepping into the hole. Now, it made a perfect place to stash his things. Everything was in place, and he continued walking in a loop to make the rocks not look that interesting as if he’d stopped there and turned around.
As he looped back around to the entrance, he thought about where else he’d check out. He could go further into the half flooded regions. Or see if one of the cracked doors he’d passed could be opened. He hadn’t tried very hard to open them, last time, instead being more focused on getting to the area the albertosaurus had
