Short TF: Cold Love. Seal, Penguin, Polar Bear TF+ARx3

Not long after closing time at the zoo, Kai woke up inside the seal habitat, Jason woke up in the penguin habitat, and Benjamin awoke in the polar bear habitat.

Kai

Kai looked around as he was aproached by the seal, Aqua.

Fear not.

"Huh? Are you talking to me?" Kai asked Aqua, surprised. He reached his hand out out to pet her.

I am, my dearest son.

"Son? But, you're a Seal, and I'm-"

Soon, you WILL be my son.

A cold feeling ripped through Kai's body.

Suddenly, his clothes disappeared, His body then began growing and his legs began shrinking as his legs flattened into what looked like fins. Soon his legs disappeared into his body completely, and his body itself was all fat and blubber.

"What are you doing..?" he choked out. His body became too heavy to move with his own human strength. His hands flattened into flippers, and after a light coat of brown fur began to grow all over his new body, his arms shrank into his body, leaving him with flippers. Kai began to sob, his whole body shaking. However, Aqua gently nuzzled against his side.

Don't cry, my beloved. I want you to be my son, Kai. I love you.

"Wait... are you turning me into a seal? But... no... I'm an orphan... but I... I don't know if... I can... live... as a seal...." Kai said, back to being terrified. His nose then turned big, black, and wet, while his teeth sharpened. His nose, mouth, and chin all grew out at once, all while long whiskers grew out from between his nose and his upper lip. Eventually, he grew a seal snout. "Don't... please..."

But he then watched as the world grew bigger, his blubber became much less, and he felt... younger... "What's happened to me?" Kai asked, noticing his higher-pitched voice.

"You are a pup now," Aqua answered, smiling.

Kai gulped. "But... I...."

He felt Aqua nuzzle him once again, and this time, she did not leave his side.

"She... truly cares about me..." Kai observed. "Aqua... I'll be your pup... if you promise to teach me how to be a seal, and to never abandon me." Kai said to her.

Aqua nodded. "Of course."

Kai smiled and hugged his new mother.

Ben

Ben cowered in fear, shrinking away from the polar bear inching ever closer to him.

Why are you frightened, human cub?

"Because you're going to eat me!" Ben retorted. "Just get it over with already!"

If that were true, you'd be dead already. A human already provided steak for my dinner.

"J-just go away! What do you want with me?"

To make you happy, and grant your wish to have a family.

"No, not with a- with a bear! Leave me alone!" Ben moved even further away.

But the bear simply grabbed him and pulled him into a gentle, though firm bear hug. Then, it hit the young man that a BEAR was SPEAKING to him. I mean you no harm, human cub. I hate hurting children.

"Then why are you hurting ME!?" Ben demanded. "I don't like you!"

Relax. Suddenly, Ben's clothes were hanging from a nearby rock. The cold chill that had gone through Kai tore through Ben now.

"S-stop..." he pleaded, shivering.

I will help you be warm. The bear then cast a spell on Ben's feet. Slowly and painfully, they reformed into ursine paws. The fur began to cover the boy's body, turning his hands into paws too, with only his head still human.

Ben began to feel a bit conflicted about it. He enjoyed the warm feeling, but he didn't want to be a bear.

The bear's hug remained firm enough to keep Ben from escaping... but put simply, hers was the most enjoyable hug Ben ever had. My name is Nita.

"Nita... well... will I be like this forever..?" Ben asked doubtfully.

Sadly, yes, but give me a chance. I can be the best mother one could ask for. I promise to be a good mother. Ben's face then pushed out into a muzzle, his ears rounded out, and he shrank to proper cub size. He was now a polar bear cub, in the gentle embrace of a kind, motherly bear.

"I'm sure you'll uphold that promise," he said simply.

Nita then used a little more magic on her cub's human clothes. Soon his shirt soon fit him perfectly, as did his shorts. "That better, Ben?" Nita asked. Ben nodded.

"Thank you."

"If there's anything you want as a bear, name it, and I'll do my best to get it for you," Nita said, hugging her new cub.

Jason looked at the three penguins surrounding him. "Is there a reason for this meeting?" he asked.

There is, Jason, they chorused.

"Um... is there one of you who can speak for all of you?"

There is not. We are one. And you will be one with us.

"No... I don't want to be in a hive mind!" Jason tried to run away, only to slip on the ice of the habitat. "No... please..."

His feet became talons, to his horror, and already, he could feel the whispers of the hive mind in his head.

Feathers covered his arms, turning them into flightless wings. His body began to deform, covered in black and white feathers. "No... no... the hive... mind... no..."

Join us, Jason, the penguins said. Do not resist. You cannot resist the allure.

"I cannot resist the allure..." Jason repeated blankly. "NO! I CAN! The hive mind ends NOW!!" he declared as his mouth and nose fused together and hardened into a beak. He shrank to a more juvenile size, sealing his transformation into a young penguin. But his mind wasn't trapped in the hive mind. In fact, the penguins all seemed... different. Clearer. Individual. "What happened... to us..." one female penguin asked weakly.

"We were... trapped.. by that awful thing..." another penguin, this one male, croaked.

"But that human we've transformed resisted enough to break the curse that... that THING put on us..." the third said, speaking as though Jason wasn't even there.

The penguins helped Jason into a more comfy sitting position. "We're sorry for what we've done to you. Please forgive us," the female penguin said, hugging the former boy.

"It's.. um... not your fault?" Jason said. "Forgiven, at any rate."

"You can be part of our family, and not as a hive mind, We'll take good care of you," she promised. "I'm Glacia."

"My name is Koori," the male penguin said.

"I am Tundra," the third penguin finished.

"I'm Jason."

About a year passed, and all three boys were surprisingly happy as animals.

Ben was still a bit doubtful about his new polar bear self, but he had adjusted nicely. His new mother, Nita gave him every toy or clothing piece he wanted, and made sure he was properly fed. (He did note that she seemed to spoil him a bit, but he tried as hard as he could not to let it go to his head.)

The three other penguins had said that they were 'indebted' to Jason for saving them from the collective consciousness that had consumed them. They too gave him what he wanted and needed, and he came to consider them his new family.

Finally, Kai was overjoyed at Aqua's treatment of him as her son. She loved him, and he eagerly returned the sentiment. With her help, he'd become good at being a seal, and adjusted to the seal life successfully. With his new mother and the other seals as his friends, Kai couldn't be happier.

Needless to say, they were happier as Animals.
