I know what you mean! On my DA site you will find my raven tattoo design, along with proper credit to the original artist. Since then, you will now find mine and his creation ALL over the internet with no credits whatsoever. This is not only the fault of the end user but also the tattoo artists who have no problem using others work.

Has it happened very consistently?
How about exposing those people, showing their shame, eh?
It’s sad, but unfortunately that’s the way every great idea goes, not just tattoo designs, but also clothing designs, product designs, even words and phrases.
If it’s good, people will want it, and as a rule people are niggard and want everything for free. :/

I feel for you man, it's a beyotch when assholes feel the need to screw over an artist. Your work inspires me I hope you don't leave the net permanently coz of some jerks. I once had a so cal friend try to pass of an image of mine to his girlfriend. Not quite the same I know but you shoulda seen his face when he was busted by me and her. It was super sweet. At any rate please keep working your magic and don't let them grind you down. Keep the faith.

it's right that the person that commissioned you doesn't want that other persons use their tatoo ...but i'm a bit sad that i will not see them anymore _

That's a real shame. You're screwed if you post (theft) and you're screwed if you don't (loss of exposure). I for one will be missing your great designs...

That's terrible. Aren't there any of your designs that weren't commissioned as "unique tattoos"? Another way of promoting could be to get in touch with tattoo parlors that could sell some of your designs directly. Good luck.

What about trying to put small picture of your tattoos? like just big enough for people to see that it looks great but too small to be taken as a drawing example?

This really sucks :/ it's a shame when people steal designs.
For your problem with promoting your works: how about some example designs that you create just for display? I know it's a lot of work you won't get payed for, but this way you could show what you are able to do without the need to display a custom design you made for a specific person.

That's what I would do if I found the time, haha - too many works ;)
Honestly this is the way I will probably have to go - it's just sad that I won't be able to show off the whole range of possibilities...

That...is sad. :(
Sorry to hear that. I actually found an artist that made a bitchin Sleipnir and I asked permission if I could possibly use her design for a future tattoo. She was cool with it. Stealing your design, not cool.
