Hi! Do you have a wip blog discussion about this one, too? The background lanterns, flags and clouds seem less opaque than the foreground figures and lanterns. Since your website's FAQ talks about you working over a grisaille, it makes me wonder whether you lay down an underpainting for the whole work, or just the really close opaque objects?
