Underwater explorations

This drawing was inspired by "Legacy" comic from Australian painter Kitfox-Crimson :iconkitfox-crimson: .

There are a two main characters from that comic: wallaby Bray (on top), and numbat Brianna (on bottom). In original comic they have an exploration mission in ancient human ruins, with aim to find a dangerous artifact (artifacts), which also is an aim of searching by rat's empire squads. So I imagined, if a some ruins are placed on sunken lands (or hided in underwater), and this two heroes need to go scuba diving with aim to attain to an artifact... So, they swim through the flooded tunnels now. I wonder if they find something there? Such scuba gear possible was redesigned from human's examples (*LAMA-helmet*) by Madagascar lemurs (which are allies of this Australian rebels).

Thanks!
I am in wonder, why this simple picture attracts the attention of so many people?

Иногда трудно ответить на такой вопрос,что-то душевное и симпатичное   в нём точно имеется.Handshake

What you think about such creatures (anthros)? Are you more interesting in way of they scuba diving?

I don't know about 'anthros' but I just like to see those creatures doing things like scuba diving. It is different & lively.

Thank you for this mark of my art )) "Anthro" is the creature based on animal, but strongly "upgraded" to human level of intelligence and agility. Athros are usually fictional - they are a characters in fantasy and even in science fiction (as here we can see :) ).

Thanks Roman for the explanation! I see this word 'anthro' a lot on dA & I didn't really understand what it meant.

>> word 'anthro'
In another terminology "anthro" called "furry". But "furry" in real world are the humans which do a cosplay game in some anthro animal, but usually create and collect a such art under the motivation of their imaginated "animal soul" part.

You can see here a some deicussion with the term "anthro": fav.me/d8lhvhv

I see. Geez you have teach me some basic things about 'anthros' today!

It was not very difficult! But you is the first, who asked me about this subject here ^^ Thank you!

*Counter example - a feral form - supposedly intelligent animal that is present in art, but does not try to act like a human.

Very nice! Great synopsis of the story there too!
I'm sure it's quite possible for things to be hidden somewhere in the depths CX

thank you so much!

Thank you too, because you created such awesome characters and stories of (and faving of my art)!

Also I have a dream(plan) to draw something about your lemurs (separately from this main characters), and not necessarily in cases when they will be in underwater mission.

>> Great synopsis of the story there too

I, probably, do not completely understand of your characters and global ideas, in which I can to come up with something more than a such visual reference sheet )) So, if you will have a desire, you can to use of this my idea in your story as well ))...

Good luck :)!

Thank you ))!
But here are not a lemurs.
Madagascar lemurs are in alliance with Australian marsupials in that story. Also I have a drawings with that lemurs too, but they are not very good yet ))

No need for being modest :) .

And I see you've taken liking on lama helmets. It suits them well  .

Also, because the standard diving mask designed for lemurs were not very comfortable for them. Possibly, lemurs prefer more tight mask that allows them to get into a limited space and swim faster) I my imagination, the lemurs may be more experienced in scuba diving, in comparison with Brianna and Bray.
