Finally got my ass to do this.

I did say I like a lot of things. Sadly, that's an understatement.

Not in particular order:

1) EVERYTHING ABOUT TENGEN TOPPA GURREN LAGANN. The music, the art, the story, yeah. I would also include the creators' other works, like Kill la Kill and Little Witch Academia, but TTGL takes the main spot.

2) Tetsuya Nomura. He was actually my first main inspiration into art, and eventually video game art. I first "encountered" him when I first (and fell madly in love) with the game Brave Fencer Musashi. Sure, I find his designs odd looking back, but he holds a special place in my heart when it comes to art.

3) Gerry Alanguilan. I'm part of his Komikero group way back in high school. We first met when he set up his comic booth in my high school, as his wife used to be a teacher there. (Just ask him; even he STILL remembers our first encounter, jfc.) It was thanks to him that I found love in comics and comic-making. I absolutlely love his story telling and his wisdom of comics. I can't wait for his upcoming futuristic-steampunk Jose Rizal story, as I am a fan of Jose Rizal.

4) Arnold Arre. He was one of my first Pinoy artist to be inspired from. I first encountered him way back in Grade 6 when I had my first copy of Philippines' K-Zone. Imagine my gushing after finally meeting him in person from Summer Komikon 2014 as he collaborated with Gerry Alanguilan.

5) Trese. One of my favorite Pinoy Komiks. Both the art and the story are just fantastic.

6) Yusuke Murata. He is the artist of Eyeshield 21 and the remake of One Punch Man. He's basically a frickin' monster when it comes to art, so I have no words to say, as his art speaks. Seriously, just LOOK at his art, and tell me a normal human did that. (And plese read One Punch Man. It's a great read.)

7) Ragnarok Online. This was the very first MMORPG in the Philippines, so it was no surprise I still love it and play it to this day (RAGNAROK ONLINE 2 PLEASE COME HERE). I really love the game's artworks and illsutrations fom various artists. I could say RO basically sparked my interest in any kind of RPG.

8) Takeshi Obata. He is the artist of Death Note and Bakuman. I just love how detailed his artwork is.

9) Caravaggio. A classical painter. Ever since I studied about him during my Art History class back in college, I can't help but love all the heavy contrast this guy did. I realized I unconciously got influenced by him after that lesson.

10) Marvel Comics. I can't anything about this as the comics will speak for itself. Spiderman and Deadpool are currently my fave characters.

11) DRAMAtical Murder. I love everything about this game, even if I ignore the H-scenes.

12) Shigenori Soejima. Artist of the Persona series. I was very mesmerized by his coloring style and his Persona deisigns.

13) Gigi Digi. Creator of the legendary Hiimdaisy comics and the webcomic Cucumber Quest. I love her sense of humor and how she makes fun of the things she really likes. (And I can't help but get infected by her snarkiness in her notes.)

14) Ace Attorney / Gyakuten Saiban series. Every damn pun, witty dialouge, and colorful character is one of the things why this game series will always stay with me.

15) Disney. I grew up with them, okay.

16) Dreamworks. I don't need to explain this either.

17) Music. Mainly Gorillaz, Owl City, Linkin Park, and currently, Imagine Dragons.

Interesting influences. I didn't even know you like DRAMAtical Murder. Thinking about it, I can see how these influences show in your art. Thanks for sharing. :)
