The Heart of Baby See-through by WingedSonar The Heart of Baby See-through by WingedSonar
This is the "heart page" of the Baby See-through projeck showing the original 6"x9" style. We later changed it to 6"x7", so the eventual final text and artwork could be better broken up.

I am really amazed by this piece - it is so soft and... don't know, just really appealing. I love how it looks like there isn't an actual outline, it makes them look so much more soft and adorable. The colours are AMAZING! Purple, pink and blue, without turning it into a barbie-party. No instead it comes out as soft and innocent and just excellent for a book.illustration.
And I LOVE how you draw bats! Love it to bits!

Thank you so much, Frothing. I myself am not a fan of stereotypically pink things, so I'm glad it's not too saccharine on the eyes. I tried to make the lighting dramatic where possible and keep the general palette away from any truly saturated colors. Happy it worked out. :)

I cannot help but think about Bat World. I think it would be cool if Bat World tried to find a cure or vaccine for the White Fungus virus.

They have tried, and captive care long after getting rid of the fungus is one method of aid when done properly that keeps the fungus away. All they need are enough good volunteers for a few thousand bats to be properly maintained over several years and a decent government grant to begin the Captive Colony project proposed at a government-funded meeting back in 2010.

I have to ask: was there a recent finding legitimately stating it was a virus? This was a fungus brought over from Europe, not a virus, as I understood it.
