Love this one! It fully works both ways--it works on its own merits as a stunning sculpture, and it works as a fanstastical interpretation of the actress.

Lovely work,as ever,Nicole...The face and figure is spot on,the expression on her face is beautifully captured...
I have one thing to comment on (constructively, one hopes) and its about the wings...the shape of them as a whole is good, but the feathers...I'd really love to sit and watch you make them one day,im sorta itching to get my sculpting tool and try a few things...You know i appreciate how hard it is to make wings and feathers, and i hope you read this without wanting to hurt me...but i just feel that the feel of the wings doesnt echo all the lovely work in her features and body.
I hope you see how i mean this...*smiles hopefully* You know i'll always love your ladies anyway...;)

Thanks Ben, and I agree about the wings. I haven't been happy with the sculpted angel wings and it's pushed me to experiment with other materials. I hope that the next angel will have wings I'm happy with.

I think the basic fundamentals are sound, but its the detailing where they fall down...theres a couple of things you could look into...i'd be tempted by a press mould i think, something like that.
I knew you'd keep having a go at them though ;) And if you need/want someone to sound off against, you know im up for that :)

Well, you have to remember that I'm working in a much larger size than you do. I also have weight issues I have to deal with. But as I said, I had an idea hit me after I finished this one and I'm going to try it out on the next angel piece. I am determined to get SOMETHING to work! ;)

I didnt forget the scale...when i said about a press mould,i meant that you make one good feather sculpt, and take a cast of it...then you can make loads out of the same material you use,and thus gain the details reliably every time AND maintain your weight limit...magic :D
Although,im also keen to see what you have come up with too...i have every faith that you'll crack it :D
With a big fish :p
