Tips For Drawing Clothing

Just a few VERY basic tips for drawing fabric and clothing.

This isn't for people who want to draw fabric totally accurately or realistically, it's to show others my way of drawing fabric, and hopefully help them with their own way of drawing it. And of course, the places for wrinkles and stretching are different for each body shape, I just stuck to one shape to keep it short and consistent.

I think that you did a wonderful job explaining.. It is super helpful to the viewers who struggle with clothing wrinkles and other small details. Believe me I know this is really good and helpful to tons of people, because I find myself struggling with small details, wrinkles, and even clothing ideas. This helped me sooo much knowing now where my mistakes were when I knew they were there, yet just not what mistakes they were. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU! Helped me sooo much and I really appreciate it, honestly it helps me so much. Thanks a bunch!

I think that this is a clear way to deliver useful tips for people who want the clothing on their characters to be realistic.

The tips are simple, yet still tells quite a bit.

You even have a refrence body to show how and what each piece of fabric would look like, even drawing some details such as when loose fabric is tucked in and when tight fabric is showing the figures shape.

Althought there could be more to show and tell, but that won't matter, this is still very helpful.

So overall! I say that this is very useful info and well descriptive on each type of fabric!

I can see this being very helpful to anyone who is new to drawing cloths like myself. I like how you explain the different concepts between different clothing styles like tight fitting, loose fitting, and tucked in. I also like how you used helpful tips in this tutorial and also point out where the lines should start. I also like how you direct certain points on the cloths themselves to give people a hint. I'm glad you made this tutorial friend. It'll be of great help to new drawers who need help in drawing cloths. Thnx again my good sir.

This was really helpful for me, first off. I have a lot of trouble when deciding where wrinkles should go and how clothing should hang. From a beginner's point of view, simple and quick tutorials like this are very helpful when it comes to getting a quick reference.

From a more professional point of view, I felt like things could have been explained better and in a bit more detail, and that a few other types of common clothing should have been added. But I do really love how you pointed out what you drew, and it was overall helpful (and I'm sure I'm not the only one who agrees with that statement).

Great job on it, it's certainly better than anything I could do. c:

Good... I suck at drawing these and pretty much got alot of practice due to your tutorial. Your instructions are clear and I give you a thumbs up! I really like on how you explain it well 'cuz english isn't my first language and I... *shrugs* don't know why but you make it simpler to understand. All I could say that you make it very understandable to me *cough* us. I hope that you post more and I really like to say is that keep up the good work on making these kind of tutorials. Thanks for sharing it with us!

The tips are very helpful to the audience, it also depends on the artists themselves but I can't really say anything about it. For me maybe, hmm there are other artists that doesn't draw like this so you'll have to excuse them because you just have a different point of view. But overall, this helps for the artists that would want a basic tutorial before adding their own styles for their own art work. You could also try to add more modern clothes for the tutorial, again depending on the artist. Sorry if this is a bad critique, it's my first time doing so.
