So I've been doing Inktober (with a norse mythology theme) but I haven't been posting my inked drawings. I made the mistake of joining an inktober facebook group...aaaiiy aiiiuy aiiiiy!
The drama was on from the first day, the very first prompt, poisonous. You see a lot of people decided to draw snakes which yes are venomous not poisonous but ffs, this is an art prompt not a precise specification. It is supposed to get you around the "what do I draw" by prompting ideas if you don't have ideas, and if you do have fixed ideas it is to throw you out of them a little. That's all. If you see the prompt "tranquil" for example and suddenly think "well whelp, all my drawings are tranquil, let's draw a battle" then great, the prompt has done its job.
Not helped at all by the fact I'd chosen to draw a snake... an ickle baby Jormangandur at his mother's house, dripping venom into a bottle. You see in Old Norse, venom and poison and festering anger and pus are all called the same thing... EITR. I felt 100% justified going in that direction on the prompt but well who wants to deal with assholes? So I didn't post it. And if you haven't posted day 1, why post day 2? Etc.
By the time I felt like posting I had seven or so pictures drawn and had come to the conclusion I should finish the challenge then post all the pictures in the order in which they occur in Norse myth. Post them here, that is. Not on facebook. Because facebook is... EITR.
