I used WinME since 2004 to 2008. Very stable in my computer... ermh, was I lucky enough????

My PC at that time was an Intel Celeron 333 MHz, 128 Mb RAM, 10 Gb HDD, integrated soundcard/video.

Windows ME, for some reason, tended to run better on older hardware than what was current at the time of its release for some reason.

Well, OSs are the most complex software ever, so it's not difficult to meet those strange failures in function of hardware available at certain time. ^^
