This is the second illustration for my Baba Yaga illustration project. Each night, it is said, she rides through the forest in her mortar, rowing with a pestle and sweeping away the tracks with a broom. I didn't portray the broom here, since I felt the composition worked better without it.
And of course, that charming house balanced on a chicken leg, surrounded by a fence of glowing skulls, waits for her return.
