Annie Market [25 up]
Sometimes owners don't connect with their Annies, something in their life occupies them, or just switch their Annie for another one and still make sure they get an owner who does have time and love for their precious Annie! Using HTML on deviantART
Hello! Hello and welcome to my little html tutorial. I've been working with html codes for a couple of years and I'm going to teach you what I know about using some basic html on deviantART. This won't make you a html expert or something and I'm not an expert myself but it will give just enough knowledge to make your journals, comments, news articles and other neat and lovely looking. :) deviantART actually has FAQs about html but I still wanted to do this because they look a bit unorganized, in my opinion. Also, why would you want to look for those FAQs when you can just open this news article where you have everything in one place? :dummy

Many of you would know the Massive art theft made by Chad Love-Lieberman throught his Web page art4love.com, but he changed the domain to <a href="www.markyourspot.com/>markyourspot.com and now he has erased the domain, but can still be found at 67.90.44.118/.

He say he is a pop artist but he only sell the art of others like it was from himself and hurt the artist comunity.

This news is to ask for help of someone who know more than me about what to do in this situation, made a list of afected artist and, if its possible, a list of links of the affected artworks and originals and try to start "legal actions" or whatever is needed

So please take a look at the page and post here the artist affected and the links to the affected drawings (the one in DA and the one in the page)

to navigate throught the page you have to change the w w w . art4love . c o m with 67.90.44.118 everytime it say that the page didn't exist

With the help of all we can finally put that page out

It is amazing what people would do for money. There are enough art theives here. I doubt my art has been stolen but I gotta check this site out!

:iconart-master321: Stole art from Genzoman and another chick here, she also stole from the internet and won't take any of it down. IDK what the DA admins are doing but they need to banned her now.

yeah but she made a new account. I know this because this person is my own sister!

is the bad part, as a web designer i know how they are made and touch the administration section of some forums and is very difficult to ban someone forever

what DA do is ban the user so that user can't be used again, but they can't avoid that person to create a new account

so the solution is to report the new account if that person follow taking the work of others

if that person is someone you know (your sister in this case) you can try to made her understand that she isn't acting well, but sometimes that isn't easy u.u

Just tried getting on the site again, since it's later now and I figured it wouldn't be as busy, but I still can't with the IP. :/ I desperately want to, so I can help with this, though... This guy better pay.

seems the IP don't work anymore, so we can see the stolen artworks

but there are many screen captures taken from the web, so we will made a affected list with that

is sad to not be able to list all the affected people, but almost he has taken down the site

lol Totally agree with you there. Idk if any of my stuff would have gotten stolen as the "good" stuff that he might have wanted are all photomanips XD I am still so pissed off about this tho :/

Actually, he took a bit of everything, so it might be a good idea to scan through the images at some point if you can. I know I did, but I would have laughed in a grim manner if I actually found one on it. (I didn't in all of the 4,252 images, though.) More reason for me to hate this guy's guts and get involved more. Oh well.

Yeah I've been keeping an eye on the list of people and I did look at some of it before the site was down. I seriously doubt any of my stuff was good enough for him to steal anyway... since all my stuff is mostly pencil sketches and half completed things besides the photomanips. I'll have to take some time to check out the screenshots tho.

This guy is also committing address fraud. The address in the footer of art4love leads to a chain restaurant in Palm Beach, Florida. It doesn't seem to have anything to do with Lieberman, who is living in New York. The phone number for art4love doesn't match the phone number for the restaurant, either.

Here's the address on google maps: [link]

Here's the restaurant's site: [link]

And here's information saying that the restaurant is owned by a man named Mike Costello: [link]

So if anybody is contacting the FBI about this, be sure to mention this other illegal thing he's done.

The worst part is that if he actually managed to sell this stolen art for those outrageous prices, he could definitely have made this legally by sharing the profits with the artists. A site like deviantart but oriented towards selling prints isn't that bad of a idea if you make it in a legal way.

But yeah, thinking up of a legal way would have had required both a brain and a soul, two things the guy apparently didn't have.

I tried to compile all the ideas people had about responding to this in my journal. [link] I seriously hope he goes straight to prison and all the artists get awarded damages!
