Welcome to the Winamp Skinners group! We do things the way we always have here, we skin! Modern skins, classic skins, cPro skins, you name it we got it. Here's how we do things: - We do not accept skins made with third party "skinning" software. Exceptions can be made, please message a admin for details. - We work together, if you need critique, feedback, or general graphic/code help ask! It never hurts to ask. We don't bite.  - We are just people, currently the group is a bit dead. As such it only seems to be administrated by one person. Until the group gets more busy I wont be able to help everyone right away! - This group is OPEN, meaning that you can come and go anytime you wish. - All submitted work will be reviewed and evaluated for authenticity. - Rip Off's will be removed and the one responsible will be reported to both the original author and the DeviantArt staff. We have a zero tolerance policy for Rip Off's. Please make sure that it is clear from original author to use their work! These rules are subject to change at any time, so check back often. Garet-Jax is working on something that interests me very much. It's a type of project that I always dreamed of making but never had the patience to code.
It's a winamp modern skin, that looks like a classic skin. I feel that this is going to open up a lot of options for us skinners.
I'm only speculating on how flexible this skin will be, but think of the possibilities!
Want to eliminate a slider on the main window?
Feel like having a more flexible POSBAR?
Static EQ BG with sliders that don't show obvious graphic fails?
I'm very excited for this, of course it's still early in development and we don't have full details on how much more flexible it'll be compared to classic. But I feel that this is a good step.

I added a skin several times but it's still not being accepted. Why is that? I can't see its submission status myself.
Are you guys still alive? I am working on a skin again (the last time was years ago) and I would really appreciate some input of what to do with some of the windows. The main windows (main, equalizer, playlist) are all almost fully skinned and it's for Winamp Classic. If you see this and are interested you can send me a PM and I'll respond if I'm still working on it.
If this was a private gallery, somepony should have said something. I'm a designer, not a fanboi, so I'm sorry to have disturbed the dust around here.
I'm sorry you feel this way but we strictly do not accept skins made by third party programing or "skinning programs" every skin that you have created shows evidence of this. If you feel that you were wronged than please re-submit your work your work will be fully evaluated.
Please keep in mind that if you did use a skinning program you should think about the rest of us that spend countless hours, days, weeks, and even months designing a singular skin.
We edit every file to what we feel is perfection, the only programs we use to do that are our favored graphic art/design program and our method of placing the bitmaps into a compressed file.
