scratchboard by willowleaf scratchboard by willowleaf
The medium used was scratchboard. Annoying, dusty, and tedious process that results in crisp white lines through a thin black coating. The original is somewhat over a foot wide and near to 18 inches high (I think?). Made spring 2007.

I have gotten it scanned and am working on getting prints made. Hopefully this will happen in the coming spring.
:D

since I will be offering this for sale, I have stuck a rather horrible watermark on and only uploaded a small file- sorry.

I'd have liked to see more detail, but it's obvious that you're pretty talented and this is excellent work. I've never attempted a scratchboard piece, but this makes me want to.

that looks like it must have taken you ages to do... I remember doing something like that in art where we colored a piece of paper and then painted it black and scratched out a picture after the paint was dry...

let me just say ours was nowhere near as detailed as urs
