Here is another view of the Spanish Boarding Axe head with another view of Miss Behavens hilt. Boarding axes were made for the navies of the world coming in all different patterns and made originally as fire axes. We can only assume that they began calling them Boarding axes as they found them to be a great aid in boarding other ships or were used as defensive tools when their ship was being boarded
