Hey, a mature content, that's a first. don't worry, it's fine, only a little death.
I started this ages ago like a month or two before i went to NY. It took a long because it required a certain mindset to draw it, so the pencil was only done by halfway through NY. Then the colouring took ages because i've been busy and i've been disatisfied with it. Still I'm fairly happy now.
This is a look into my mind. Whenever i'm walking down a city street listening to Rammstein (and occasionally eminem) this is what runs through my head, cept instead of the man in red, i'm the one running around blowing things up (i frequently have a bazooka, and seldom a machine gun, but it suited the picture better). To draw this i had to be in that mindset (which is why it took so long, i dont often walk down city streets listening to rammstein).
Interestingly, the street looks quite a lot like a new york street, despite me drawing that part before i even got to NY.
My inspirations for this image are: Adam: :iconsgt-goldfish: who created that part of my mind (and introduced me to rammstein)
and
:iconinxanity: who...well provided the character inxanity, who happens to be exactly right for the role (hence being in the picture) and provided a lot of art which gave me inspiration in the scene.
Oddly, this is the part of my mind which seems to come up most frequently in my deviations, though lately, i've shown something of a less violent tendency (i'm not all violent, anyone who knows me can testify to that (but don't ask sam, that boys evil ;p)).
Inxanity (C) Inxanity (see link above).
PS. writing the tags for this is fun: rampage, violence, death, destruction etc...
Opinions everyone?

Nicely done! When people put effort into their work it really shows. In this picture I'm mostly impressed by how you've applied different textures - it really helps to set the scene. As for critique, I think you need to be careful of light sources - some of the shadows seem to be created by light sources that are further away rather than light sources closer to them, for example, which really ought to have more of an impact.

Yeah, that's been my biggest critique, figuring out the light sources. I should do som practise with shading and stuff, see if i can figure it all out a bit better.
Thank you.

Daniel. you know perfectly well that i'm unstable, I mean, look at the company i've kept the past two years.
Random question, do you normally call me will or william.

Will, I think. o-0

Are you implying that I am somehow connected to your unstable-ness? Because, I assure you my good sir, I am perfectly stable. xD

I see.
You're stable? How odd. How have you managed it for so long? I wasn't referring you you specifically when i mentioned the company i've kept, the whole group in general (though you helped), particularly adam and sam.

Whoa, nice.
I think the perspective needs a little work, especially on the right side - the word 'Bank' looks like it's slanting upwards. Maybe some guidelines would help direct things :3
But I like the position of looking at the pic from above to view the carnage <3 Ah, violence can be most fun to draw. Awesome pic ^^

Ah perspective, my old nemisis is back (he never really left). Yeah, guidlines could help. I hopeless with trying to plan and set out things like guidlines with my art, even when i sit down to try it, i end up not doing it.
violence is fun to draw, as is blood. Didn't think you felt that way though.

Ohoho... of course I'm subject to random violent impulses too (I agree with Athena, I think everyone has some deep down =P) Maybe I should post up some of it O:
Speaking of Athena, have you checked your hotmail?

Yeah, you and athena are probably right. Still, i don't like the idea of that much violence going on around in heads around me =P
You should. Always post whatever you've got, that's my policy. I know i'd be interested to see it.
I have checked my Hotmail, and responded. Great picture wasn't it. I am truly envious of that girl, she draws precisely how i would like to be able to draw.

Maybe I'll post some eventually... I just don't want to worry people with what I come up with =P
Yes, that picture was sheer brilliance. Her shading and faces are really something, to say nothing of her awesome ideas... So you'd like to draw realistically? :3

I wouldn't worry about worrying people, the internets made of a pretty jaded bunch, and none of our friends would mind.
Yes, it really was, complete and utter brilliance (though she refuses to accept it).
Kind of. I would like to be able to draw realistically, the majority of the mental images i try to get onto paper are realistic scenes, but as yet i've captured none to my satisfaction. I'd also like to be able to draw comic style, because well...i want to. I'm going to start working on focusing my drawing on comics now, because at the moment when i draw, i tend to get a strange blend between the two, and i'm not happy with it.

A strange blend? :\ Hm. It's entirely possible to compromise though; some manga styles are really realistic and beautiful (ever seen the art for Vagabond? It's amazing). But having a focus is good :3 Comic style is more flexible too, but even so make sure you look at some real anatomy. I look forward to seeing how you go! ^^

It's true that a blend can be managed, I dont know vagabond, but i have seen some examples of what you mean. The trouble is for me, is that my blend isn't a good one, it gets me down and annoys me, i need to be able to draw decently in either without mixing them.
I do need to look at real anatomy, as well as study a little of how comic artists draw (there are soo many ways).

In general the shaddows are done well, but the corpses on the left hand side of the page, because of the multiple light sources, don't seem to have their saddows in the right spot. And maybe it's because it's small but the faces on some of the other bodies are your best. Interesting idea, though really I think everyone feels like that some times, wether it be in the street, or walking down a coridor at school, yeah death and carnage, good art ideas.

Everyone feels like that? Terrifying, one of them's bound to snap sometime soon. The faces on the bodies are my best? that's odd, they don't look it to me. Yeah, I had some trouble with the multiple shadows and lightsources, i only really paid attention to them at the last moment, and was probably just a little lazy about it. Thanks.
