For those who have followed my gallery and characters, you might recognize this comic from awhile back. I certainly do, since it was a "push" that I haven't made good on in the way I've intended, but one that's stuck with me for all that it implies and foreshadows.
It's a bit heavy on dialogue, and weighted with a lot of ideas and emotions that may seem unusually stern and somber in comparison to the funky humor I've generally worked with. And because of all that weight crammed into a relatively short comic, and because i'm often overly critical of older works of mine, it also comes across as a little more tortured than I'd probably have done today. But I'm grateful--excited, even--that Mr. Haro chose to bring this one more to life, and here's why:
